on tv....didn't pay much attention the first time, but DeNiro is very good and Pacino is a total clown, a parody, outclassed...

Lots of details I missed the first time, Micheal Mann is a top notch director...

They're going to struggle even to get into the playoffs with D-Wade hurt, and even if they do get in, they'll face Detroit in the first round.

Plus, i just noticed its being run in a 3 hour time block so im guessing at least 20-25 minutes have been cut? The original movie is close to 3 hours..

Anybody know where you can watch this movie on the internet? I haven't seen it for the while, it's one of my favorites easily. Anybody know any more peekvids or what not..as it appears that one got shut down.

Deniro: "Waingro...."

Voight: "You got time?"

Deniro: "I'll make time."

I like when Deniro comes home after a long day, and his wife had just brought a guy back and banged him. He steals his little shitty 17 inch TV, and says the other guy can't watch it. AHAH I Love that part. Check it out

I gotta disagree about Pacino in this flic, i thought he did a great job all through & held his own with DeNiro in the cafe scene.

Ashley Judd has never looked uglier than she did in this movie, reminded me of a young Hillary Clinton... :Lin:

ROFL ROFL

Yeah, that would not work well on regular TV.

Heat is an awesome flick, supposedly it is coming out on HD-DVD. I will be all over that if/when it does come out. That scene when they are shooting it out with the cops in downtown HelLA is outstanding.

Probably in the top 5 gun fights in movie history....

I love the coffee shop scene with DeNiro/Pacino as well...My fave scene in the whole flick and the whole movie is full of great scenes and dialouge.

That scene was unrehearsed. And no, Pacino is great in it... but, as my brother once said, I could probably watch Pacino taking a dump and be enthralled.

I'm a Pacino geek, to say the least.

Aren't there rumors that Pacino and DeNiro dislike each other so much that the coffee shop scene was filmed with each of them seperately? Seems implausible, and I've never re-watched to see if they are ever on camera together, but I feel lke I read something like that a few years back.

Critics were blasting Pacino for over-acting in this movie, i tend to agree. Several scenes he was going over board i thought.

Thats an old wise tale but untrue. If nyou watch the widescreen version on DVD you can clearly see the two together in the wide shots.

Pacino talks about that scene in his interview on Inside the Actor's Studio... I certainly did NOT get the impression he disliked Deniro. That's also where I heard him say they did the scene in one day without rehearsals together so it would be a more organic scene.

Pacino and Deniro like each other very much. Deniro has said he wouldn't hesitate to do another film with Pacino if the script was good enough.
