he had

66 takles 1 sack 1 int 1 fumr
but i seem to never remember him being burnt for a touchdown or any for that matter, im not saying that he didnt have a td scored on him im sure he had a few. but could it be that he is actually a lock down corner? :hmmm:

Like i said i cant rember. but could anyone refresh my memory or better come up with the receiving against stats and touchdowns scored on him? thanks.

He has been decent. Not as good as I expected him to be but still decent.

probably 2-3 yrs before he is cut and destroying our cap like so many others.

He did alright, but he is not a coverage corner.. That and our frontline does not help our DB's out any..

just another guy who signed a big money contract as his skills were beginning to decline. I feel like corners are good for 4 or 5 years before they start to lose too much pace.

The only problem I have with Surtain is his cap number. I would love to see what the Surtain/Law combo could do with a little pressure on the QB from the front 4.

Patrick Surtain Any Good?
Not nearly as good as the money the Chiefs are paying him. He has one of the Chiefs highest contracts.

If he could catch a football, he would have had about a dozen interceptions.
IMO, he has done a good job of making what used to be the teams biggest weakness, satisfactory.

Not really.

He cost us a 2nd RDC. Plus he gets star money from the Chiefs. "satisfactory" doesn't cut it.

has played AVG. He should work on his catching / int skills... He lives by Ty Law but it has rubbed off thru osmosis.

In fairness, having said the above, I have to add that there's a chance IMO that Surtain and Law would have played closer to star status had we had a decent D-line.

I've been happy with him.

He'd look better if he had some decent safeties playing behind him.

I couldn't name more than 2 or 3 big plays that Surtain has given up since he's been here. Yeah, he makes a lot of money. It beats having Warfield and McCleon.

I agree-how many INT's has he dropped that have hit him in the fuggin hands-other than that he has played pretty well.

He's overpaid for what he has done in a Chiefs uniform.

It is good to be a fan. We have gone from having sieves at cornerback (wartee and barfield) to overpriced aging veterans. We had to have a Cornerback at the time and he was the best option. IMO, considering the total lack of pressure on the QB up the middle, I think Surtain has done a satisfactory job, even for the money.
I think he is a good example of a lot of money wisely spent, instead of some money poorly spent.

For those complaining about his stone hands, you know what they say: If he could catch, he would be a wide reciever.

Huh?!!!

Severe Giant Toad alert, Mr. Frankie.

Thought I would provide as much Giant Toad information as possible for the benefit of Planeteers.

Well that's what happens when you can't draft and go for 30 year old CB's they're likely going to decline and you'll pay for what they were.....

We also don't have anything close to a Jason Taylor so yea.
