With the Neocons' hard on about attacking Iran now that their Iraq project is such a success, here's a BBC program that let's you live a day in Tehran. It is pretty unbiased and informative:

If you feel there's a deep valley between the Iranian and American people, prove or disprove it to yourselves AFTER watching this.

Fair warning. This is 1.5 hours in length. So you might watch it in small doses. But I recommend you take the time to watch it all. Think of it as a trip to some part of the world you have never seen.

Thanks for the link. I'm very interested in this and definitely want to find time to watch it.

I don't think the Neocons have "a hard on about attacking Iran."

I think that what you are witnessing is really diplomacy. Let's hope the Iranians, and maybe even the Russians and others who are nominally on our side of the conflict, see it like you do.

I hope you're right, but you have to admit that we haven't been able to show off our military might in Iraq like we'd hope. We are stuck in urban warfare acting like a police force and having to follow strict rules of engagement. War with Iran would allow the U.S. to show that we still can't be messed with cause we can still level anyone. Bust out the high tech planes and other tools of warfare that we spend so much money on.
Not saying that this attitude will determine our policy, but I think there is an undeniable appeal in an attack on Iran to some Neocons.

Good points.

I guess I wouldn't be surprised too much either way.
