As the world turns... I like the idea of Henry in that offense for the right price. Brad Johnson at the age of 49... dunno.

Bill Williamson (http://www.kffl.com/link/3), of the Denver Post (http://www.kffl.com/link/184), reports the Denver Broncos (http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl) spent the evening Sunday, March 4, negotiating a contract with free agent RB Travis Henry (http://www.kffl.com/player/209/nfl) (Titans). The Broncos (http://www.kffl.com/team/15/nfl) are expected to try to get a deal done with Henry before he leaves Denver.

I don't want to see Travis Henry in Denver.

Brad Johnson? Meh.

Haven't heard much on Kearney or Graham... sounds like they offered DG a contract, but I dunno.

Denver has been very very busy so far this off-season so what do you make of that Mile High?

Henry would be tailor made for that offense. I hope he askes you guys for a mint.

Johnson would be a good fill in for a few games. He'd also make a good mentor for Cutler. Give Johnson credit, for a guy with very little talent he's made the most of it including a SB ring.

I like the fact that Denver has been very busy. The hit 9 wins with a QB change to a rookie and they have a lot of talent, even with the recent purging at a few positions.

Their issues have been defensive consistency throughout a season, pass rush, QB and a punishing ground game (yes I know the yards have been good, but it has failed when needed most).

So, they're addressing each of those needs right now with the coaching changes and the trading/signing of players.

They're active as usual and there's a reason Shanahan has only had 1 season under .500 in Denver. Will it all work? I dunno, but I like his style.

Johnson was horrid in Minnesota last year, he'd be perfect for the Broncos. :)

I'm not too concerned with Johnson as a backup...

Henry has a 4.1 ypc for his career. With their system Denver could probably pick someone out of the stands to do that.

Henry will flourish in that system, i def. dont want them to sign him.

Haha, Brad Johnson sucks and he has to get the veteran minimum at the very least. Losers.

Least of my concerns at this point.

I am going to have to agree with you. If Chiefs fans were honest, they too would say that they respect his abilities to attract needed talent.

The only thing killing me now is the silence and lack of updates after non-stop crezziness over the weekend...

I mean, I need something other than the trading for a guy that was drafted originally in a year when Wade Phillips was the coach in Denver. (heh)

Henry will have his deal done by the end of the day...I think you can make it until then.

I love how people on this board so elloquently say such and such sucks.

At this point in his career Denver would be perfect for Brad Johnson. He's not a talented guy but he's hung in the league for 14yrs. That means he's seen it all. He'd make a great mentor for Cutler. He can teach Jay how not to do anything stupid (Jake are you listening?), how to manage a game and that it's ok to throw it away. He could also make a decent one or two game starter should Jay get hurt.

Basicly for a cheap contract they're getting Jay his own QB coach with the cred of a SB ring.

Okay, how's this for eloquence? Brad Johnson sucks. He threw 9 TDs and 15 INTs last season and had QB rating of 72. The Vikes could have kept him around so he could mentor Tavaris Jackson (their QBOTF), but they decided to let him go. Doesn't that indicate something to you? If he has such great potential as a mentor, wouldn't the Vikes have hung on to him? After all, the guy has roots with that team after spending 9 seasons there.

Ah yes, quite the poet you are. Green had a QB rating of 74.1 with 7 TD and 9 ints. Careful with that stone throwing.

What the Vikes cutting him tells me is that maybe they're not as sold on Jackson as the Broncs are on Cutler. If Jackson can't cut it they want a quality starter to step in. Denver is committed to Cutler so they only want a QB coach and emergency starter. It makes perfect sense if you take half a minute to think about it.

Johnson to the Cowboys.

http://www.rotoworld.com/

Cowboys agreed to terms with Brad Johnson on a three-year contract. NFL.com's Adam Schefter reports the deal is worth $7.5 million.

Johnson had been drawing interest from Denver, but said he felt "a strong comfort level" with Dallas offensive coordinator Jason Garrett, his former teammate. He should be a good mentor for Tony Romo to fall back on and if Romo gets hurt, a better in-game option than Drew Bledsoe.

Henry to the Broncos... damn...
In my FFL keeper league I have Henry and could franchise him but I normally never have Broncos or Raiders on my team.

You're right, he is older than Plummer. And Andy Rooney too...
