Just bought a 42" plasma, so I'm selling my 32" Sony (2000 model). I posted it on Craiglist for $125, but now I'm thinking I should have asked for more...

Your thoughts?

PM me if you're serious. I'm in Topeka, and have already had 2 people email about it.

I think your TV is crap. That burned out section at the top center makes it practically unwatchable.

yeah, but it detracts from the big gray fuzzy bar across the middle...

$125 sounds reasonable to me. CRT's aren't worth what they used to be.

Does it have composite connections on the back or just the standard RCA audio/video in/outs?

I had a Sony that looked just like that and it just had s-video. Good enough connection for a SD TV of that size.

Depends. Is the remote bolted to the TV?

I once bought a TV on Ebay for 99 cents. It sucked, so I sold it for $50. Then I bought a good one (Trinitron) for $50. Pretty cool, eh?

I sold a 32" JVC that was in perfect condition recently for $75. Take what you can get.

It looks like it's still in the hotel to me.

Hey Phobs,

If you want to drive to California, hang out in the sun, drink beer and eat great Mexican food, I've got a 36" Flat Tube televison that I'll sell you for $250. While you're here, I may even put you to work to replace two of my fireplaces and facades.

Lemme know.

well the reason I ask is that in the first 24 hours, I've had 4 inquiries about it.

Nah; you'll never sell it at that price - go lower.

Do ya take personal check, or debit card??

If you are just trying to get rid of it, and they are hauling it away, i'd say no.

Don't let any of them in your house though.

The "drink beer and eat great Mexican food" parts of that story sounded really good. All the rest kinda sucked. Plus all my crap would probably get stolen.

Normally I'd agree, I never do business from home, but with a 32" TV, I don't have much choice. They will want to see it work, and I'm not going to haul it all over town to people's homes.

I do plan on setting it up in the garage, so at least they won't see the rest of the house.

I'm not in a big hurry to get rid of it. My new tv hasn't arrived yet, and I can always hang onto it until our May garage sale.

Dammit! Good thing I didn't include the part about carrying the 250 pound television down 47 stairs.

Wonder what this TV is worth now.
