The Rams aren't gonna do the deal for less than a 1st and 3rd WITHOUT the second or a 1st round swap. Is he still worth it?

IBDHO, no.

Trent Green would be my first choice, but w/o a 1st swap or a 2nd thrown in I wouldnt do it. I would try to rebuild the defense this year and next, get a franchise RB, and see what the cost for Green is next year or in FA 2 years from now or see who else would be available. Plug in Frerotte, Dilfer, whoever for now. This would test the loyalty of Chiefs fans as I could see a couple of 4-5 win seasons.

Let me see him play a season or two for the Chiefs first, and then I'll let you know what I 'knew' all along.

trying to play the game like some others on this bb...

The only QB I would give a 1st and 3rd for would be Brian Griese. He's young, he's tough and he's proven he can lead and put up the numbers.

Other than that, it's like throwing good money at bad deals. This trade could go down as the single worst move this organization has made since it took Toad Blackledge over Dan Marino in 1983.

Not at the price of our 1st and 3rd.

My alternative: Hire a low-cost 'Dilfer' FA; Draft a 3rd or 4th round QB (Tuisosopo, perhaps?) and let these two and Collins fight it out in training camp to determine the starter for next season.

You should just make that your signature until this BS is over with.

I personally feel that some way this is going to happen. I just know that it is going to cost WAY TOO MUCH.

Hoping we walk if it cost us our 12th

Nope, not worth it, as I've said all along...

If they're not willing to deal, then it's time to sign someone else. I don't like having 1 QB with 2 spots empty...

The article did tell me that this "deadline" crap is bogus, so we still might see a deal done between now and draft day.

Can't you all see? The Rams are panicking, and King Carl is holding strong

It is done. Once this Green crap is done, I'll have it removed.

Uh Chiefpriority, hope you are just being facetious, but the Rams are panicking???

Seems the Rams are holding strong to me.

~See's the Chiefs in Full Panic Mode to even consider trading their #12 for this type of talent

Team sources told the Post-Dispatch earlier in the week that the Rams would pull Green off the market by Thursday, when he's due a $500,000 roster bonus, if the team had yet to receive an acceptable trade offer from Kansas City. But Martz stopped short of saying that would be the case.

STL Post Dispatch

The whole article is about how the Rams won't let go of Green, but they want to sign Darren Smith and Cortez Kennedy. This is a bluff, the rams are very nervous. You've got to realize that they're "fans" won't go through another losing season.

He was not worth it before, why would I think he is worth it now?

No, no, a thousand times no.
