7 upsets and a slew of close games!

4 games, in the same location no less, decided by 7 points!

I'm not much of a fan of NCAA basketball...

...except for the month of March.

I love it!

It was really great. The Pac-10 is looking surprisingly strong. UK gave me a scare. Even the favoured teams that won, almost lost (Maryland, UK etc.). And you gotta love the grit shown by Hampton down the stretch!

I thought I heard something like 10 games decided by 4 points or less, or overtime.

At least I am not the only one who has had their bracket busted.

I was out on three games today, which is better than norm for me, but I had two of those teams winning in the next round, so I've pretty much screwed the pooch already...

Playing for free though, so it doesn't take away from my enjoyment of one tremendous day of basketball.

I had Utah State and Georgia State. I almost picked Holy Cross over UK. They only lost by 4 points, so it was close.

I let Big 8 pride cloud my judgement and I took OSU. I figured Mo Baker could get hot.

Upsets for day 2: Fresno St., Gonzaga, and Providence. I have the Midwest going to all the favs. I hope CS Northridge is having trouble sleeping tonight. After winning 17 straight first round games, KU is prime for an upset.

I've already missed 5...only one that I had going to sweet 16 though (ISU)...Tigers scared the hell out of me...gotta have some upsets today though, I have Charlotte, Xavier, Butler, Fresno St., Gonzaga, Temple, and Providence advancing...God, just typing that now I realize what an idiot I could turn out to be!!! Oh well, go Cinderella go!!!! It's shaping up to be an exciting tourney so far.

Did you see the score of the Butler/Wake Forest game at half time? Butler was ahead 43-10. Wake was 3 for 25 from the field.

I had Virginia as a final four team (I don't remember doing that, odd for me because I hate UVA as much as I hate Duke...) so I'm done.

This day is shaping up to be just as good as yesterday!!!

Got lucky on Charlotte too...4 for 5 on upset teams today...I should have known better than to go against Bird's alma mater...Go Xavier & Fresno State!!!!

ya never know...

I am glad I went with Gonzaga. I think they will wim one more before going home. But then again, it wouldn't surprise me to see them go a little further.

By the way, where is Gonzaga out of?

I think they are from Seattle area, the northwest. John Stockton is their big alumn.

Thanks CF. I had thought they were from somewhere in Texas, but I wasn't sure.

Gonzaga winning is not an upset anymore. They are a 4 seed in 12 seed's clothing.

So why didn't I pick them?

Oh, yeah, cause I'm an ACC fan. A dumb ACC fan.
