What tips, shortcuts, words of advice would you pass on to a nOOb RV owner?

1995 31' American RV.

For example, how well do the 4' tripods work for supporting Direct TV dishes?

thanks!

Buy a robe, smoke a cigar and never pay to empty your tank:
"Shitter was full."

I'd try your cousins or neighbors storm drain. That chit stinks so you don't want to do it too close to your house.

We will be staying right next to Lake Michigan.

At a party last night, I mentioned jokely about dumping in that cesspool; and you thought that I killed Bambi or cut all the trees down from the comments I got from the tree huggers. :)

Empty it off a bridge onto a boat of tourist.

When gas hits $4.00 bucks a gallon-they will be giving that dinosaur away.

Probably get a boat with the deal too.

Tripods are OK if you are traveling but not so good for a permanent mount. They tend to blow over if you have much wind. Does that RV have slide outs? What is a rig like that worth?

You mainly want to concern yourself with the running gear. The satellite TV and water heater aren't going to help much when you're sitting in Needles, CA with a blown head gasket.
