Isn't Arkansas an "elite" program? Looks like they'll have to go to their fall back option - Bill Self.

They should fire Frank, THEN hire a BB coach. I'll bet they would get better response.

The 6 o'clock news out of Tulsa said Arkansas has several ineligible players that Altman wasn't told about. And that triggered his reversal.

Yeah, it's similar to the Chiefs... they do well in the regular season every other year and bomb in the playoffs, thanks to dumbassery at the coaching level. :p

hogville.net is on pure meltdown right now..

Check out these jewels...

"Out of all of the candidates I've always liked Bill Self the most. I do not care if he costs 3 million dollars, sign his butt up. I will pledge 750 dollars per year for the next 10 years if we hire this man. The worst thing that could happen is he'd turn us down again. Well, we're past the point of embarrassment now. I don't think it could possibly hurt.

Mark my words, Altman's cowardly actions will turn out as a blessing. We are crazy for a winner, so let's get one!!!"

"I'd like to shut them up w/ an amazing hire. I say we go all out for Bill Self and show everyone the POWER of Arkansas. "

"Are you crazy? We are one of the top 5 jobs in the country (top 4 depending upon where kentucky is headed) and a SUPERSTAR coach can make us a top 3 program only behind UNC and Duke.

We need to start acting like we are badasses b/c it's TRUE!!! "

Wow does it get any better than that?

Speaking as a Creighton fan. I felt sad to see him go. Can't really fault him for chasing the $$$. I was ready to move on and then I see this thread. Has this been confirmed??
If true.. Welcome back Dana!! :thumb:

This is when a fan like myself becomes an asshole. I'm enough of a hogs fan to be somewhat knowledgeable, and I follow them. But I also am detached enough to really think this shit is incredibly funny. I'm going to torment people tomorrow.

I just got home a couple of hrs. ago. Hadn't turned on the news or anything and only found out here.
I wonder if Altman took the job before he told his wife.
She's a Omaha girl, All her family is there and has stated that she doesn't want to uproot her family any more. Course a couple million or two wouldn't hurt in helping change her mind. I'm sure there's more to the story then just having a change of heart.
