I didn't read it as a sinking ship.

Right, I'd read that as a sinking ship.

But this story is about a minor staff shakeup and it doesn't really raise any red flags with me.

He's too competitive in a handful of important states.

Dean burnt most of his cash at this point, too, but didn't drop out until Super Tuesday.

McCain won't pull out soon. I just posted this in another thread, but I am guaranteeing that it won't be a matter of weeks. The campaign believes its way to early to give up. I don't think he'll get the nod, but he's not just going to quit this soon.

Well, to be fair, McCain's ship was sinking at that time.

Ha, I forgot this thread existed. I made this post after a friend of mine was just fired from the McCain campaign. I asked if that meant McCain was shutting down and he said no way.
Seven months later, my friend, no longer affiliated with the campaign, told me "I will be the first person to guarantee this. John McCain will be the nominee." And then he proceeded to tell me exactly how it would play out, which is what has happened so far.

So, jake is really Nick "The Erroneous One" Athan?

There isn't a single person here who didn't think that McCain's campaign was seriously on the ropes at this point. I don't really get how this is some kind of gotcha against recxjake. Making fun of his Rudy pimping, I get. Making fun of the way he's flip flopped on hate/love for certain candidates I get. But this "bump of the year" and "jake is really Nick" stuff, I don't get.
