So now who becomes our return man??

Webb?

Or do the Chiefs draft a Ted Ginn Jr. if he falls?

Possibly a CB who can return kicks? Ala Dale Carter???

Aaron Ross.

Webb did a great job last year. Unless he becomes a crucial part of our offense (not likely) put him back there.

I really hope the Chiefs don't waste a first rounder on a corner.

Look at all the Cover 2 defenses in the NFL. Chicago has Vasher and Tillman, not first rounders. Indy had David/Nick Harper, not first rounders. Tampa- Ronde Barber/Brian Kelly, not first rounders.

You don't spend high draft picks on corners in a zone defense.

Petro was wondering why Samie Parker never returns punts. He said, "I'd think if you can catch the football, you can return punts.

Pretty much answered his own question there...

I suspect Ginn or Aaron Ross.

Brian Waters would do better than Dante so I don't think it's going to be an issue

Derrick Blalock is still out there i think, after getting cut by NYJ early in the offseason. Worth a TC shot and will likely come pretty cheap.

I heard Tamarick Vanover is available.

With Herm's good eye for defensive backs, I'm confident we can find great talent in the 3rd/4th rounds (provided we make the Green trade). At least for what we need this year, which is a solid nickel to trade off with Benny Sapp. Marcus Maxey and what's his ass that we signed this offseason will be suitable for the 5th spot.

We need to take advantage of the receiver depth in this draft in the 1st round if the opportunity arises. We can still find a great player in the 2nd and 3rd rounds as well, but it needs to be addressed.

You think so, I think its between us and Tennessee for him.

I really don't see us taking Ginn. I think that if we go WR we're going to target a bigger receiver.

Herms one first round WR was Santana Moss, he's not a large man.

Well, with our blockers we might as use a big guy, 'cause he is going to have to break through 3 tackles just to get 10 yards.

Personally I loved what I saw from Webb last year. I mean he only came in a couple of times, but I loved the explosion through the hole (Did I say that out loud) I think he has real potential.

When I heard that the Chiefs traded Hall my first thought was "The doors wide open for Ginn now".
I'll still be pissed if Jarrett is there at 23 and we take Ginn instead.

Scouts are going to like Ginn more because he is more naturally gifted, problem with him is he may never be more than a slot KR/PR.

I like him because he has tremendous upside but it is risky.

If you can work on his concertation on catching the football, he could be a big time WR.

Herm will have LJ run to the middle.

Not to mention that he's faster than shit. He'll be unstoppable on play action.

I remember the first time i ever saw LJ touch the ball was in a 2003 pre-season game. He returned a kickoff for a TD.

I don't know too much about the kid, but K-State WR Figurs ran the fastest 40 at the combine and from my understanding was K-States go to guy (which doesn't say much). He seems to me to be the same type of player as Ginn, but without the hype. What are your guys' thoughts on Figurs?
