Jets didn't give up that much to get Quinn. Gotta be a CB.

This is getting interesting..........I don't like Hall but to each their own.

Mr. Laz

Apparently you've never heard of the Kansas Jayhawks.

Panthers give up 1st and 6th for Jets 1st, 2nd, and 5th picks

Jets fans have got to be hanging themselves.

Rain Man
04-28-2007, 01:48 PM
The draft charts say that's a perfectly equal trade for whatever that's worth.

HerculesRockefell
04-28-2007, 01:48 PM
Denver is in perfect position to trade down a few slots and rob us of Quinn. It adds value to their trade to keep him out of the AFC West.

If Branch is gone, this is what I expect to happen if Quinn is still there.

Apparently you've never heard of the Kansas Jayhawks.

Ha!

vailpass
04-28-2007, 01:49 PM
Trade DOWN to a team that wants to pick Quinn. Denver is only two slots in front of KC.

Sorry, I didn't see what you were getting at. If Shanny makes any moves it is to get a player he wants, not to prick KC over.
(if that happens however it would be a nice side benefit :) )

noa
04-28-2007, 01:49 PM
Ah, the Jets still have a 2nd rounder from the Thomas Jones trade. Still, that was a lot to give up.

Stewie

Where's Parcells? I'd love to hear his take on this.

Hopefully it's Revis for the Jets.

DJ's left nut
04-28-2007, 01:50 PM
They moved up into the top 1/2 of the draft, that's always an expensive proposition.

I wouldn't have made the move, I don't think Hall is an elite level corner, but I don't think they got taken in the deal.

Mecca
04-28-2007, 01:50 PM
I think Branch is still going to be available when Denver picks.......

stlchiefs
04-28-2007, 01:50 PM
Panther's got a good deal out of this 1,2,5 for a 1 and 6. If they can move down a few spots and pick up a 2 and 6, that's a good deal. AND Quinn keeps falling.

SO, does Carl live up to his quote and take Quinn?

ChiefaRoo
04-28-2007, 01:50 PM
I think Branch is still going to be available when Denver picks.......

I think Branch is going to be a bust.

Mecca

Hopefully it's Revis for the Jets.

Really........I think he's better than Hall is.

Micjones
04-28-2007, 01:51 PM
New York probably wants Leon Hall...

That would leave Jacksonville, Philly (if they were to move up) and Dallas as viable options for Quinn.

Give it a rest, dickthrob.

Not likely, Gayhawk boy. :)

Shanahan would **** KC over in a second if no one Denver really wants is there.

I bet the Jets fans in the audience have no idea what's going on. It's not exactly a staff meeting at the Manhattan Project up there.

Nice toothless, unwashed Jets fan there. Is Skip a Jets fan?

Dicky McElephant
04-28-2007, 01:58 PM
ESPN just said that there could be a possibility that the Browns try and trade up into the 1st to get Quinn.

Pitt Gorilla
04-28-2007, 01:58 PM
If he's there at 23, deal the pick to the Browns for the rest of their draft.

Mr. Flopnuts
04-28-2007, 01:59 PM
Cleveland is trying to get back into the 1st round ESPN is stating. We're gonna have to make a move if we want this guy. Personally I think he's a better bet than Croyle.

Rain Man
04-28-2007, 01:59 PM

2. Brady Quinn (though he's moving up my charts)
3. Dwayne Bowe
4. Dwayne Jarrett
5. Sidney Rice

HerculesRockefell

vailpass

Shanahan would **** KC over in a second if no one Denver really wants is there.

It's just business. Shanny is cold and calculating and leaves emotion out of it.
With one exception: any time any place any way he can stick it to Incontinent Al and the Faiders he will do so.

Mr. Laz
04-28-2007, 02:04 PM
Junior Siavii?
Gabriel Watson

he was rated a low 1st rounder until people started taking about his "lazy" performance. Watson fell to the 10th pick of the 3rd round.

lazy is a huge problem with DT's

Here we go... JAX is on the board.
They're a threat to pulling Quinn off the board before we go on the clock. Let's see what happens...

Who though?

There's no one behind us on the draft board that would take him. Philly maybe, but who else?

Any team trying to trade up from outside of the 1st Round would have to give up an arm and a leg to get Denver's pick.
