I'd be really pleased if this happens. I think he is falling. I think he would be a great pick.

Height: 6-2 | Weight: 302 | 40-Time: 4.97

Strengths:
Extremely strong...A solid athlete with good measurables...Stout against the run and is able to take on multiple blockers...Gets a good push and will collapse the pocket...Is able to shed blocks and clog up the middle...Shows great instincts for the game and is still developing...Smart player who is mature beyond his years and wants to improve...Quick and will penetrate and rush the passer...Still has a ton of potential and he could really be physically molded by a pro strength coach.

Weaknesses:
Doesn't always play with proper leverage...Does not have a great burst of closing speed...Has to develop some additional pass rush moves...Is inconsistent and will disappear from the action at times...Needs some technique work and is not yet a finished product...Is he overrated simply due to his being extraordinarily young?

Notes:
Has four years of Division I playing experience but will still only be a 20-year-old rookie in the NFL...A native of Nigeria who tested into the 9th grade as a 12-year-old and played at Louisville as a 16-year-old true freshman in '03...The NFL Draft has never seen a prospect quite like this and even though he is already a very good player now it's his upside that is really intriguing...Impact interior lineman.

Knowing how much we need a good DT, if he actually did start to fall that far wouldn't we think of trading up at some point? I don't think they'd sit there at 23 and just cross their fingers that a projected top 10 pick lasts to our spot.

I absolutely love the idea of drafting Okoye, but I have no desire to give up draft picks to trade up.

I'd like for this to happen, but considering defensive tackles are always a commodity, I doubt an NFL ready 19 year old DT that can both play the run and pass will fall into the second half of the first round, let alone all the way to #23.

Gosselin's is a mock you can usually trust, but when you get down in the bottom third of the round it's hard to predict what can happen because of trades and whatever else.

And of course... what would the planet have to melt down over?

I mean, hell....DJ, Hali, and Okoye...in consecutive years? I mean, we'd have to really back off of CP a bit, if he managed that. :hmmm:

If King Karl drafted Okoye and didn't trade LJ, it would just be another example of Karl caring more about putting asses in the seats then taking this team to the Super Bowl. This team is ****ed if we have another winning season.

We need to have a horrible draft so we can really suck next season. THEN we can draft #1 in 2008, and use it to propel our team to success.

I'm hoping the rumors of the Broncos trading to the #10 spot with the Texans are true and we are getting Okoye with it. I've wished for us to draft this guy ever since I heard about him. I've watched him climb the boards and gave up hope when I saw him projected between #8 and #12.

He got a gift in DJ. Hali was a great pick by the Chiefs. If we luck into Okoye, (which I very strongly doubt) he will be a gift as well. I'll reserve judgment for CP on what he does with the rest of the draft. Ah hell, no I won't. Even if it's teh best evar I'll chalk it up to Herm. ROFL

The mention of Willis was announced with the trade. Something like, "They'll trade to the tenth spot where they will take Willis." There is no way in hell anybody in the Bronco organization is going to announce who they want. Shanny wouldn't even admit to the trade. Willis is a safe pick in a mock but not a sure thing at all. Hell, it's a crap shoot trying to guess at this point. We are all arguing about it over on the Orange Mane right now. It could be just about any non-QB and non-CB rated as a top 15 player. I also doubt it's a RB but who the hell knows what they are thinking. GoChiefs said that Shanny is bat shit crazy when it comes to draft moves. GoChiefs is right. I can't even begin to figure out what the hell they are doing. I am just hoping it's Okoye.

Yep. Definitely possible that we are going DE in the first. Especially if we are planning on getting Jenkins from the Panthers. Then we could keep him for several years and draft a DT next year when the field is deeper. I would rule out QB, CB, OG, C, TE and probably RB in the first round for us tomorrow.
