Rumor has it that dungver offered a 3rd for Jenkins per NFL network.

Willis and Jenkins? I think they are covering in case one does not work out.

What do I know............

I don't know what to think of that. I don't think I'd have the balls to pull that one off. It's feast or famine.

Considering Carolina wants a 1st for Jenkins....

Isn't trezelle a little old by now?

Yeah, Carolina won't bite.

I bet Denver could get him for a 2nd, though. It's possible at that point.

I just cannot believe how deep Carolina is at DT.

We can't even get two good starters, and they're four deep. Ugh.

Good. They can waste their pick on that bum.

Yea let's wish a Pro Bowl player to go to the Broncos.........that's smart. Champ Bailey sucks too I guess.......

You are always so hot or cold on any given player.

That's probably the main reason you're not credible.

He's not a Cover 2 DT anyway....he's one step away from being Dan Wilkinson at this point.

My point is if they go for Willis and add Jenkins, we are behind them for improvement.

I would rather say good and not worry but I keep an open mind as well.

One thing to my advantage is that I have started looking forward to 2008 and 2009 regardless of this year.

A cover 2 DT? What exactly does that mean? This is why I stay away from much of the football talk on this board, too much over-analyzing. He's either a good football player or he's not. Defensive tackle.......knock down linemen, chase the guy with the ball, tackle the guy with the ball. No matter what a team's system is, football is football, especially in the interior.

Denver's improved more than every team in the league except for New England this offseason. They don't need the Jenkins deal to get done for that to be true.

Who do you consider a cover 2 DT

:spock:

Hamas Jenkins is worth....a 6th or 7th round pick at best; he's likely a FA pickup. :harumph:

Dungver took it in the shorts....again.

Even if you don't think he fits our system don't wish him to go to a team in our division.

That would make too much sense.

I especially do not want them to "waste" a pick that is 2 rounds later than what was wanted. GC post make less sense all the time.

If they spent a first , that would be kewl because of the risk.
A 3rd rounder instead- it makes sense for them. I think Denver has 2 thirds as well.

He had 7 and 5 sack seasons. I'm pretty sure he'd fit with what we want to do...

Well, had I not ripped up the coach's playbook in college and told him to let me call the goddamned plays, I would have went earlier. Hell, I'm so good I have 0th round talent ;)

I think it had something due to arrogance?

Maybe?

One thing to my advantage is that I have started looking forward to 2008 and 2009 regardless of this year.We are rebuilding. "Improvement" won't be measured for a while. Is Croyle better than Green right now? No, but he might be a better option the year after next with playing time under his belt.

I understand and that is why I am looking forward to 2008 and beyond. I started this last year but fell for the last "run".

Again.
