The HUGE guy from Juco? I really would like to see us get this guy and take a chance. http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/25/sports/football/25nfl.html?_r=4&pagewanted=1&hp&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin

We've made our pick for the DL, and I highly doubt we'll see another one.

B.S. If we are going to be picking best available athlete this guy would be hard to beat. After round 4 its a crap shoot.

370-pound DTs don't fit in the Cover 2...

Interesting project but what do you do with a 375 lb lineman in the cover 2?

The dude is faster than half of our linebackers, all of our other linemen AND can do a back flip!!! Superman JR. LOL, I don't know, I just know it would be cool to see this guy in a KC uniform if possible.

I think we go CB next pick, maybe we take him with the Fins 4th

I'd like to see Jesus Christ in a Chiefs uniform, but guess what, He doesn't fit in the Cover 2 either.

I don't know when the time will be right, but it is not now.

Not true, he is a true bump and run cover corner.

They publically said their's a good chance they'll select more than one DL

Eh, I heard He ran a 4.7 40.

Although he did run it on water so maybe we should spot him a few tenths.

Apparently, any time was too soon.

http://www.neworleansprofootball.com/051207thomas.html

Massive undrafted prospect DT Walter Thomas, who played spare collegiate games at Oklahoma State and NW Mississippi Community College, lasted 15 minutes in his first pro practice.

WWL and NOPF's Kenny Wilkerson reports that into only individual positional drills and not yet in team scrimmages, Thomas was helped off the field to the training facilities.

He was cut after practice.

And this, ladies and gentlemen, is one reason why I love Chiefsplanet. No where else can you get THIS kind of accurate player and draft analysis!

Of course we do! Fans ALWAYS know more than the coaching staff. Ask any Chiefs or Royals fan!

Well... you might be right about the Royals fan. I'm not sure they know what they're doing. The last three games: Royals lose by a football score, 17-3; Royals lose 5-4; Royals win 11-1.

I wonder if that has anything to do with it?!?

Um... OK. That might explain some... but what about their other 24 losses, paired with their other 11 wins?

For the Walter Thomas crowd...

From GBN...

May 14
(12:01 AM) Come again when you can stay longer… Heralded 375-pound New Orleans undrafted free agent DT Walter Thomas lasted barely 10 minutes at the Saints' rookie camp this weekend. Thomas was reportedly carried off the field by training staff and his locker has reportedly been cleaned out. Thomas was literally the ‘biggest’ undrafted free agent signee after the 2007 draft. Thomas’ college career consisted of two junior college games as flunked out of Oklahoma State before ever playing in a game, while trouble with the law cut short his stint at Northwest Mississippi Community College.

Wow. That's hilarious. This really is one small example of how a couple of media outlets combined with the internet can greatly over-hype the talents/potential of a given player. Maybe our scouts (and almost every other team) knew what they were doing when they passed on this guy.

To be fair, we don't know if he busted his vagina, broke an ankle, got stung be a killer bee, tore his ACL, got the vapors at the sight of Drew Brees, or had a peanut allergy. IYKWIM.

Dude, if that guy's gay, and sets his sights on me, . . . I guess my only wish left is for a very small penis.
