: What did you like about the Chiefs?

TYLER: “I love the head coach. He is a good humorous guy. They fight hard. Some people doubt the Chiefs, but they fight hard. I have been part of the underdog team for awhile so I am looking forward to doing great things with the Chiefs.”

Q: Did you have an idea that the Chiefs may draft you?

TYLER: “I felt good about everybody I talked to. I felt good about myself being a dominant player. I knew most of the teams I talked with would be really interested. Coach (Tim) Krumrie and I had a good time together. He taught me a lot of things and I am looking forward to playing with him.”

Q: Are you confident you can play in the NFL?

TYLER: “I am very confident. I am ready to get to practice, learn my new techniques and learn a lot of things from my new coaches and get to bust some heads.”

Q: How much have you matured in college?

TYLER: “I think I was mature before then, but a couple of days after that I really took a turn in my life. As far as the people I hang around with and how I view things changed. My life could have ended that night which people don’t understand. I look at a lot of things different and I don’t take things for granted. I thank God for every second I am breathing and I think Him for my opportunity to be part of the NFL. I am ready to move on to the next stage. I am as mature as I can be. I have a long ways to go, but I am a grown man.”

Q: The learning experience may turn out to be good in the long run?

TYLER: “It is going to turn out that way. A lot of the things that I have been through has helped me. There is nothing in front of me that I know I am not ready for. I am a made man. I am built from a lot of things I have been through. I haven’t experienced that people around me haven’t been through that they cannot tell me about it.”

He needs work on his cliches, but I like what he's trying to say.

I am as mature as I can be. I have a long ways to go

I am a made man.
-who knew the end of the Sopranos could involve our KC Chiefs?

Lock Tank Tyler and Larry Johnson in the same room before a game and get them GOOD AND PISSED. No one will beat us all year long.

GoChiefs, I'm definitely with ya on this one.

Who else is really excited about our D next year? I about creamed my jeans when we got Tank in the 3rd.

No way. Gotta be a typo. No way a DT gets that many tackles.

My bad. Career numbers.

I still can't believe he got that many tackles in a career, even if he played 4 years. Don't good NFL DT's average about 40 tackles in a 16-game season?

One of those DTs have to take.

Along with Boone, and hopefully the development of Wilkerson with Reed and Edwards on deck?

Very good things on the horizon. Allen and Hali might be able to up their numbers this year.

Not only does he fill a need at DT, but he says clever things too. Now we can cut Boomer. His spot is taken.

I have the best scouting report for him. About 2 or 3 years ago I went to a local seafood 'raw' bar, here in Raleigh, NC. The place had just opened, and I was in the mood for steamed shrimp and oysters. When I entered the bar I was kinda stunned to see all the large football sized people taking orders, running the kitchen, and working the bar. My wife and I pulled up a seat at the bar and ordered some oysters. Turns out the bartender was none other then Tank Tyler. It was awesome he shucked my oysters and talked to me for an hour. Apparently all the NC state players work there during the offseason. I will tell you this about him - dude passed the Terribillis Oyster Drill like a pro. Draft him Carl.

thank you Carl... I predict greatness from Tank.

With this guy at DT Boomer could flourish at MLB. I'm almost sorry we dumped Kawika.
