Next year's draft doesn't appear deep considering all the teams who traded their 2008 first round picks today.

damn everyone is throwing away their picks today...a 1st for a backup RB?

Everyone is trading away a 1st round pick next year. Is the 2008 class supposed to suck or something?

Turner is better than the starter on at least a dozen NFL teams, IMO. So, I'd have pulled the trigger, if it were me.

this kinda deflates jacobs value from a fantasy perspective...

maybe, but not for a 1st....we got Priest for nothing...they could have signed Travis Henry for nothing...

we have no idea what he'll do as an every down starter for a full season...Blaylock, our backup to Holmes, looked great and went to the Jets and sucked ass....

didn't the Jets get Thomas Jones for a second?

We should have been able to get a 1st and a second for LJ from them damn...

The Giants already have a starter in Jacobs.

Now they throw away a 1st for another RB to spell carries???

They could of drafted any RB in the 2nd day to do that.

San Diego loans up on the draft picks again. :shake:

They don't believe in Jacobs as an every down back. TC has said as much many times in the past. Still, SD stole the NYGs blind with this move.

I don't know that Jacobs is a 25 carry a game back.

He and Turner, together, will help take pressure off Manning....that's for sure.

I know...you never KNOW. It's a crap shoot.

I just think Turner will be quite good. Just a hunch based on what I've seen from him. :hmmm:

If Turner is worth a 1st, then LJ is worth 3 1sts.

No kidding. Of all the teams I wanted Turner traded to, him going to NY hurts me the most fantasy wise.

Last year I had Tiki with Jacobs on the bench, and at the very end of the year I picked up Turner hoping he'd get dealt. Now that he's on the same team with Jacobs, I don't know what I'm going to do.

You sure?

Jacobs always gets the ball inside the 15.

Turner can hit the homerun though....and long TDs will diminish the red zone TDs fror Jacobs.

yeah but people at this point were figuring jacobs to get the bulk of the load. Now that's all up in the air

I call bullshit on this.

This isn't even on KFFL. I checked San Diego sites and it's not there either.

Still, they'll get in the red zone more often than get a 40-yard TD.

If this deal is true, it's obvious that the new Giants GM is just as dumb as Ernie Accorsi was. The Giants still don't have a LT, and they just screwed themselves out of a chance to get Jake Long or Sam Baker next year.

Dumbasses.

Why does everyone have a hard on for Turner? I'm calling it now he'll be a Lamont Jordan. The Chargers had an awesome Oline the Giants don't trust me this is a waste of a pick for the G men. Coughlins days are numbered.

Those of us who had Tiki Barber last season are too upset with Brandon jacobs to ever draft him anyway.

I am looking forward to next year's draft already, cause OT looks a lot deeper than this year at this point.

In response to some earlier posts...

If Brandon Jacobs isn't a 25 carries type of back, then nobody is.

He's 6'4 264

I would think he's going to get the bulk of the carries.

So the G-Men just gave up a 1st for a guy who will get about 10 carries a game the way I see it.
