Ok, for all you classic rockers that like to jam to the likes of zepplin, sabbath and so forth, you must experience Wolfmother. In my honest opinion, they may be the second coming of what is known as the best generation of rock music, the 60s-70s. Im telling you people, listen to some of their stuff, they are the Metallica of this generation. If anybody else has heard some of their stuff, what do you think? They have quickly become my new facorite band.

ya, at least. I have their Austrailian album release from 2005 and saw them in a tiny bar up here in Boston last year.

And yes, they are a great band.

Here's the one thing I found out about Wolfmother...

They're a manufactured band.

They don't actually even ENJOY this type of music. They said in an interview last year that they figured this type of music would sell.

I wouldnt take anything they say too seriously. Theyre well known in these parts for making shit up as they go along.

EVERY commercial, plus between EVERY snap on Madden...

I am sick of Wolfmother. They were cool when maqe introduced us to them like a year and a half ago, and they werent so commercialized.

Mike Patton pretty much sums up my feelings about Wolfmother in this video.

Mike Patton doing covers of old music is not the same as passing off stuff blatantly copied (and poorly, I might add) from decades ago as "original" material.

Wolfmother is gay.

I don't see it at all.

That sounds like late 70's New York punk.

Mike Patton is so relevant that he has to do a interview for people to know what he's doing.

Rap STEALS music straight from others- but since WM have a heavy sound- they are copycats?

They remind me more of the WhiteStripes meets Old Rush meets Deep Purple.

Most new bands out there all sound the same- at least they are going in a diferent direction and playing the music the love.

sounds to it like me esp. in the breakdowns/singers style. throw some black sabbath in and imo its close.

wolfmother has that raw rock n roll thing going.

They're both raw, but that's about it. The singer for the one you posted sounds like pure punk, kinda Ramone-ish. The singer for WM sounds like Geddy Lee or maybe Plant.

Plus the Hammond is a thing with WM, makes them sound like Deep Purple.
