From Warpaint:

Says Trent will most likely be at training camp baring a holdout.
Also said he'd be shocked if Priest came back.

He also said something very interesting. He said that Svitek has the edge on the RT job and it's basicaly his to lose...

Then either the Chiefs don't think as highly of Terry as some of us do, or they already know he's gonna be suspended.....

Everybody here has been talking about Terry being gone already. I'm sure it's common knowledge on Arrowhead Dr as well.

I hope Svitek is the best option, it would be best for the Chiefs no matter the outcome.

Well, it would be a pleasant surprise if Svitek was this good.

Chris Terrys' next court date is in July from what I could find.

Probably A-OK with the Chiefs if Trent doesn't come to camp. Just saves them money and reduces Trent's chances of hurting himself before we cut or trade him.

No kidding.

Imagine one of our late-round picks for OL in the last five years panning out.

Go Will!

Anyone have any idea how Priest's situation will resolve itself? How long will the Chiefs keep him on the roster without any real hope of him playing?

Priest is coming back. I read it here. Someone go tell Mitch to STFU.

I would assume Priest and Carl will agree on an injury settlement.

Hopefully, sooner rather than later. This has gone on long enough.

I think it was one of Boob Gretz's articles about the OL that said even before Terry's troubles, He wasn't attending workouts. I know it's voluntary but can't be a good thing for a guy in his case who is on his last shot at his career.

I'd say this has Herm and co moving on without him and not expecting much, if anything.

Holtus was on Sports Talk here in Springfield as well tonight. He said look for a Green deal to get done, but it wouldnt shock him if he was a Chief this year. Croyle is the starter though. Said Svitek will be the RT. Welbourn is a stud RG. Bennett will be a suprise this season. Look for more of those runs like the Donks on Thanksgiving. Liked our first day draft, expects all 3 to start against Houston on opening day. Didnt like the 2nd day bc we didnt get a cornerback. Said Bowe is the most physically gifted WR the Chiefs have had in his 14 years as an announcer. Also said that Green should quit yapping about the #1 offense bc all it got us was one playoff berth.

No, you read it at Warpaint. Athan's last column, right after he said we're trading Trent to the Dolphins for Ricky Williams, Marty Booker and a garbage bag full of jock straps.

Odd to think that in a way we drafted two running backs this year. Bennet with our 4th and Smith with one of our 5th round picks.

From Warpaint:

1. insightful...he'll either be at camp or holdout....he must have good sources, my sources said he'd holdout or be at camp.....

2. duh, there has always been zero chance Priest was coming back

3. so, Svitek is beating out the mighty Sampson...whew, I much prefer the oft injured NFLE star over the oft injured preseason star....

Guess it was Teichtard.

The recent retirement of Shields and worries over the recent behavior of Chris Terry made the offensive-line positions a greater priority. The Chiefs tentatively gave Terry the starting spot at right tackle, but he hasnít been a regular participant in their offseason program and recently missed a probable-cause hearing in Georgia stemming from an alleged altercation in February between Terry and a woman at an Atlanta-area bar.
