Am I the only person in the world who detects bullshit in the Warriors' name?

Why the hell are they called "Golden State"? I know they've been that way for years, but that still doesn't change the fact that it doesn't make sense. That's like called the St. Louis Rams the Missouri Rams and still having the Kansas City Chiefs. Doesn't work. One team represents the state of Missouri and the other represents a small populated portion of that? **** that.

We've got the Lakers, Clippers and Kings in California. It would make sense to say the Oakland Warriors, just like the Raiders and Athletics. Why the hell call them Golden State? That's just gay.

Seems that not many teams actually change their names in the NFL, NBA or MBL. Unless the city losing the team demands the rights to the name. aka Cleveland.

My favorite team these days is the Colorado Avalanche. They are the old Quebec Nordiques. I mean, wouldn't it be silly to name a team the Colorado Nordiques?
