Thinking of buying some. Does it work at lower speeds 10-50mph?

Not for me. Great at highway speeds though.

Rain-X is good stuff, very effective. I used in in Louisian, Colorado, Michigan and here in Florida - it works great in all the different weather types (in my experience) and I rarely ever used the windshield wipers.

works great but like anything you have to continue to re-apply it. While it's on there it's amazing: going down the highway at 80 with little/no wipers is nice.

I haven't used it for the last several cars, and while it does "work" as advertised, I always felt like I was looking through an oil slick when it wasn't raining.

You used too much. It doesn't take a lot to work.

Exactly. It starts to smear after awhile. I do like the Rain-X washer fluid. It seems like just enough to keep the windshield clear without the build-up.

Does the fog stuff work really well? I used it probably a decade ago without a lot of luck, but maybe I applied it wrong.

My current car fogs really bad.

Yup. Used too much. I've also found it actually helps to "buff" as directed with just a touch of water rather than dry buffing.

Make your ventilation system is set to "fresh air" and not "recirculate" when you're having that problem.

Good tip. Never knew that, I'll give it a try.

Screw Rain X for fog, just rub some anti-freeze on the windshield.
