You have a great eye and post some fantastic photos... But I've not ever seen a collection like this.

There is a lot of incredible work there. Thats the tough thing with the internet. Just when you think are somewhat decent you make a few clicks and feel like a chump.

Below is a slideshow link to my Flickr account. It is a section where I pick out any favorites I see from other people. Something I liked for whatever reason. There are a lot there worth browsing.

There are about 843 pictures in that list but one that has always stood out to me is the photograph below of a Flaming Lips concert.

Yup a concert. The Flaming Lips.

The Flaming Lips (formed in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma in 1983) are a Grammy-award winning[1] American alternative rock band.

Although the Flaming Lips take an indie rock/post-punk approach to rock music, the band is known for their lush, multi-layered, psychedelic arrangements, spacey lyrics and bizarre song and album titles (for example, "Pilot Can at the Queer of God", "Free Radicals (A Hallucination of the Christmas Skeleton Pleading with A Suicide Bomber)" or "Yeah, I Know It's A Drag... But Wastin' Pigs Is Still Radical"). They are also acclaimed for their elaborate live shows featuring fursuits, balloons, puppets, video projections, complex stage light configurations, giant hands and large amounts of confetti. In 2002, Q magazine named The Flaming Lips one of the "50 Bands to See Before You Die".

The group recorded several albums and EPs on an indie label in the 1980s and early 1990s. After signing to Warner Brothers, they scored a hit in 1993 with "She Donít Use Jelly". Although it has been their only hit single in the U.S., the band has maintained critical respect and, to a lesser extent, commercial viability through albums such as 1999ís The Soft Bulletin and 2002ís Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots. They have also had more hit singles in the UK and Europe than in the U.S.

Despite press coverage for the band being quiet in comparison to recent years, they were nominated for a BRIT Award in February 2007 for the "Best International Act" category.

Ok, I need to learn to slow down and read more closely.

I couldn't have been more careless in reading your first post on this thread, could I?

You didn't take those 800+ pictures... AND you said Flaming Lips in your first post.

ROFL

Anyway, you've got a great eye, even if you aren't the photographer of 800+ jaw-dropping pictures.

For my pictures? I use PC. I kind of wanted to make the jump to MAC but don't have the funds...thought my money was invested better elsewhere...got a souped up PC that gets me there.

I have been using Adobe Lightroom. It is a great piece of software for editing and organizing pictures. Kind of like beating the crap out of photoshop and taking everything that is just good for photographers and adding a really great system for organization.

Jaz, I think you will really dig this. This is the first time I saw a collection from a photographer and just instantly said, "yes, thats what I would love to be able to do" I really look up to this guy and his work. Its fun how its put together below as well. George Lange. I am still floored by this collection.
