Butler out of the lineup 3 of the last 4 games. And didn't Moore explicitly say when they called him up that they would play him every day? Instead, it's Justin Huber Part II. Just as I feared.

i don't understand it either .... must be defense related

they refuse to take gordon out of the lineup even when he should probably be in the minors.

butler is actually hitting a bit and he's riding the pine

I heard it was cause of his defense..or lack of..so stick Sweeney at 1st is what I would do. Although Gordon has looked good at 1st tonight.

petegz28

Also I noticed that after making some good plays at 1st Gordon had a good at bat...hit the ball hard and went after it. Keep in mind most of his errors have been throwing errors

gordon has had his share of errors ....

has butler had any?

butler has 4 RBI is 37 at bats ..... gordon has 5 RBI in 120 at bats.

royals have a hard-on for Gordon .... George Brett has adopted him, so he's getting a free pass.

if you can't bat .250 then you don't belong in the majors.

That was an awesome putout to redeem himself too. Way to hang onto the ball by John Buck. People are going to stop challenging Teahen soon.

Meche has been pitching fantastic. I wasnt a Meche backer when we signed him and in fact I thought the deal we gave him was retarded. He's for sure pitched like an ace and probably is pissed off that he's not getting much run support when he goes out there. Kinda feel bad for the guy. Wouldnt surprsie me if someone trades for him after the allstar break.

considering Buck is a 2.30-.240 hitter I think ending the season at .275 would be good for himThat would mean he'll hit below .270 for the rest of the season. So no bitching from you if he goes 86-319 from this point on.

This appears to be like Teahen last year, who was also a career .230 - .240 hitter. It took three months before anybody bought the idea of him as a legit MLB hitter, and now he's the most feared bat on the roster (watch the way he's pitched around, you'll see what I mean). Teahen showed over an extended period what kind of hitter he can be last season, and Buck has started the 2007 season by doing the same thing. He's also been a slow starter, traditionally, (and hitters, in general are) so you'd think his average would stay where it is, if not go up.

I know it's the Kansas City thing to do, to fear expectations, because we're always let down, but we're 6 weeks into the season now. This isn't Buck hitting .296 on April 15th. And not only is he hitting, he's hitting in the clutch. That's not generally a streak-y thing.
