For those of us that thought Walter Thomas might be worth a look at DT.

He did not last long with the Saints

He is the back flipping DT that some people wrote about in the draft section of the Planet.

I think that is the history with this kid. He has had opportunities, but he has never been able to put it together to show he can play football.

Defensive Tackle | Junior | NW Mississippi C.C. Walter Thomas
Height: 6-43/8 | Weight: 374 | 40-Time: 5.19

Official Bio

Outstanding size and a huge frame...Very athletic...Fast and quick off the snap for a man of his dimensions...Strong and extremely powerful...Fantastic feet...Upside is basically limitless...Was really impressive at the Texas vs. Nation All-Star game.

Extremely raw and he will need a lot of attention and coaching...Conditioning is a concern and he'll need to lose a ton of weight...Has very little experience at any level...Work ethic is very questionable...Has character issues...Workout warrior?

Began his career at Oklahoma State where he played as a true freshman in 2004 before getting kicked off the team...Did not play football in 2005 and played saw little action in 2006 before opting to enter the draft as a junior...The definition of a long-term project but he'll get a few looks due to his rare size and measurables.

Sounds intriguing but I doubt we give any more Dlinemen a look this year unless someone gets hurt.
