I'm taking a tree down tomorrow and am willing to share with somebody who is willing to come help. My truck, my saw, my tree, you stack and take almost a full chord home with you.

Anybody?

When I say I need some free assistance, go start smoking your bacon!

If I come and help do I have to take the full cord?

Uh- maybe not.

Uh- maybe not.

Then Bob Dole assumes Texarkana is out, as well.

I'd love some, but alas, I'm in Nebraska. If you have any limbs that are actually big, like bigger than 3 inches in diameter, I'd gladly pay the postage if you stuffed as many lengths that would fit in a flat rate postage box.

Of course I love it for smoking meats, don't we all, but these chunks would be used for woodworking. Apple has some unique properties and is hard to come by (unless you know someone taking down a tree).

PM me if being my usps slave appeals to you.

Phil, can't today. I misread your thread header -- I thought you were doing this tomorrow.

Are you doing it next weekend? I'll be there for that, if you are.

Wish I lived closer. I love both smoking with applewood and burning it in the fireplace. It smells good.

Looks like FMB is the lucky taker. We're doing it next weekend.

I'm going to KC the following week. I won't be able to take part in the fun, but I'd trade a sixer of beer for 25 lbs or so of apple wood chunks?

If I were the one cutting, I wouldn't share applewood with anyone. It is my absolute favorite when it comes to smoking. Say Phil, if you want to drive it down here I can give you a letter from the church for tax purposes and you can also deduct the mileage of the trip from your taxes as well.

(I'll help you unload it once you get here)

:)

Since I've learned some negotiation from Luzap recently, it's going to cost you a case?

No, you say - okay, a twelver. It can be a Blvd Pale if it's on sale or Shiner. It's only $2 more than a good six-pack.

I harvested some grape vine recently as well, but I don't have much of that. It's mine.

Of course, I have more maple than I could ever use.

Cool. I'll PM you when I get in town to arrange a time.

I see you have mastered the Luz "Art of Negotiation" short course Mike. Very well played.

That sounds great but only if personal wealth is guaranteed through your program.

Hey phil, can you cut it thin? I want to go with a new wood look on my patio door. Sort of a 'faux garage' look to my living room.

Not really but I do like my Ford.

I like it even better since Diesel is $.40 cheaper than unleaded. I've taken it off the market and am making long-term improvements to it.

It's really nice. You should be proud of it. What's the year?

Phobia

It's a 97. Last year of the old body style.

Just put high end brakes and rotors on it over the weekend. I'll be prepping it for new paint this summer. It's a work truck but there's no reason it can't look decent.

What color are you going for? Keeping it white?

Phobia

Probably keep it white. Considering a soft grey on the bottom third. I kinda like that look.

Of course my new and improved Luzap negotiating skills is why I low-balled him on my initial offer.
