View Full Version : It's Official...She's Knocked Up!

So after I got home from work this evening, my wife began showing me the things she purchased at Target today. One of the things she pulled out of the bag was a baby outfit that said "Tax Deduction" on it.

I didn't think much of it and said, "Who's that for?" as I was trying to think of which of her friends was either pregnant or just had a baby. Imagine my surprise when she said, "It's for us. I'm pregnant.".

She took a test today and it came back positive. She's setting up an appointment with the doctor tomorrow to confirm, but she's pretty certain since the test was a digital one.

I'm still kind of in shock right now. Even though we've kind of been trying for a while, it's still hard to believe. I'm pretty excited, but nervous at the same time. This will be child #2 for us so I've been through it all before. I imagine things will be quite different though when there's more than one running around!

We already have a girl, so I'm sort of hoping this one is a boy. I'll have to think back and try to remember how I did the deed and try to match that to the old wives' tale.

Oh yeah, you guys are the first to know! She wants to wait until after her appointment before we start telling anyone. I just couldn't wait to start spreading the news though! I mean, it's a symbol of manhood or something when you can say you've knocked up your wife. :)

So now you get to start thinking of clever ways to tell the grandparents.

Or maybe you have come up with something already?

Doggystyle. I've heard that's a good way.

If that were the case we would have had tripletts by now.

We gave my parents and my wife's parents images from the ultrasound. First pictures of their granddaughter (not that we knew she was a daughter at the time.)

Congratulations, The Rick. IMO, the absolutely most important and funnest part of your life is now underway.

Trust me...enjoy the time you get to spend trying. We were trying for like 10 months, so I'm a little sad that part's over. I mean, it was guaranteed sex every month!

Congrats. Amazing how a movie title can be the brunt
of jokes, but at this rate your Tax Deduction will be 2008

You may be pleasantly surprised how worked up a pregnant woman can get, hell, you might even get it bi-weekly!

Yeah, it didn't work that way the last time. Of course, maybe this time will be different! :thumb:
