The rosin bag-grenade toss is genius.

If you're going to get tossed, you might as well have some harmless fun with it.

I don't think I've ever seen a manager melt down like that. I've seen fiery anger and throwing stuff, but he turned it into pure theater with the commando crawl and grenade toss. Funny and weird.

That's one of the funniest meltdowns I've ever seen.

You call that a brawl? :shake:

I've seen catfights that landed more punches.

As for that Braves manager. What a dumb meathead. He obviously wanted to make the ESPN highlights.

HAHA thats classic. I've NEVER seen a manager crawl on all fours. He's ready to replace Bobby, bring em up.

Hilarious, thanks for posting. Even better than my favorite all time manager, Earl Weaver.

It actually was a brawl, it just wasn't caught on live TV. The one that was caught on live TV was just the sneak-preview of the brawl, which occured in the club house.

It's a minor league game, nobody even really cares. The freaking umps were laughing at it. It almost had a Veeck feel to it.

Stoopid

The Barrett/Zambrano scuff was hilarious. I love that Barrett pointed out the only thing that mattere, the scoreboard and Carlos lost it. **** Zambrano, what a pussy.

I was literally laughing out loud when he did the crawl thru the jungle grenade throw. It looked like the UMP was actually scared at first when he first came in throwing his hat.

I agree. I like my umpire tirades with some emotion. He was way too calm and actually looked like some of it was planned beforehand. Before I saw the video and realized he wasn't the home team manager, I thought it was some kind of ploy to get fans to the game.

"come see what our crazy ass manager will do next!"

I think you may be right, but how else do you get fans to a AA game? I miss the days of firey managers like Billy Martin, Earl Weaver, and even Whitey Herzog when he was here. Nowadays, managers are nothing but a bunch of mumbling apologists.

Yeah, but it's minor league baseball. Here in Albuquerque a couple of chilies race a taco around the bases every home game. The minors has always been a bit different than the big leagues in terms of how they go about attracting fans.

Someone earlier mentioned "Veeck-like", I'd say that's accurate.
