I use a saline solution. I have bad sinuses and use it daily now for about 2 months and it helps a lot but it did take time to notice the difference.

I have seen a paperclip work well for that as well. I think its the curvatation at the point of penetration that does the trick.

Ha, my nose is clogged all day if I don't blow them out in the shower. Have to do it quietly so my fiance doesn't hear me though.

I listened to a special on NPR about it a while back, and people absolutely swear by it. Here's a video and instructions on what to do:

I've done it to flush drywall dust and paint overspray out of my nose, but not to clear my sinuses.

Only thing I would change would be to use distilled water, or at least filtered tap water... chlorine doesn't feel too good going up your nose.

Try food grade hydrogen-peroxide. it stings but it is much cleaner than water and will dissolve any dusty sediment in your septum.

Yep, I do it all the time. Somewhere around age 13 or 14 I lost the ability to pick my nose (fingers won't fit in the nostils anymore).

No, mis manos son normales; el problema es que la nariz es demasiado pequeña.

Tiene.

El borracho tiene dedos gordos?

No, I won't leave this country anytime soon.

However, I am willing to do work that American's won't do.

Eh, "with the" dedos gordos vs "that has" dedos gordos. It means the same thing either way.

Yes, but you posted a phrase. I corrected it to read as a sentence. That was my only reason for jumping in. You didn't have a verb in your post.

Yeah. It was pitiful.

The question is moot anyway since his dedos apparently aren't gordos.

A few months ago, I had some regurg go up my nose, and I burned with the intensity of a 1,000 supernovas. I snorted water several times to try and alleviate the pain. I finally got desperate and snorted skim milk.....helped too :)

Do not squirt water up your nose, especially if it came from the tap.

It could contain contaminants, especially bacteria, and you'll be worse off than you were before.

I've had sinus problems for years, finally solved through surgery.

I use a hypertonic saline solution to relieve congestion and it works great.

Most people use isotonic solutions, but I prefer mine a bit stronger.

I STRONGLY recommend one of these as well:

You can buy the packets to go with it if you want - they're convenient, but expensive. I make my own solution and just use the bottle to apply. If you want my recipe, I could probably dig it up somewhere.
