Or whatever it is they call it?

No one has done as much to make CeePee look good as has Mr. Steadman.

Have they?

Yes. Yes he is. It's a total load of BS.

Yes, unfortunately. Hopefully Clark won't put Carl in there and further degrade the honor of the Ring of Fame.

It will be a glorious meltdown of server-bending proportions the day they announce Carl will be inducted in there.

Well Steadman kicked butt for the fist 15 years, he was Lamar's go to guy and got the Chiefs move here done, Arrowhead, World's of Fun, Hunt Midwest and other stuff. But his presidency was pretty poor and not firing Jim Schaff quick enough was his down fall. Alot people dont remember Schaaf was the GM behind the dark ages.

It will come....honestly, i dont like the guy much, but he deserves it. Mostly for 89-97. He did bring the franchise out of the laughingstock era.

Peterson deserves it, he should have step down from the GM role around 99 or so but for the most part he is a pretty good overall sports executive.

There are 16 teams in the AFC. Carl has been the GM for 17 seasons without being the top team in the AFC. The math says that an average GM would've been in at least one Super Bowl by now.

During that time frame, 9 AFC teams made the Super Bowl and 5 of those won the whole thing.

I agree that the drafts since the 2002 Sims draft have been good. His marketing savvy has made the Chiefs a place to be on Sundays. Marty and King Carl turned around this team from the pits of despair. I enjoy the hell out of my game day experience and King Carl made that happen. Marty and King Carl are to be commended and thanked.

The Chiefs have great regular season records and but what about the playoffs? The historical facts about the results on the field can't be denied.
• The fans of KC have sold out every game since the rearly 90's
• Season Ticket Prices are up over 200% above normal inflation increaces during King Carl's rein
• King Carl has the longest rein in the NFL as GM, 17 years
• Every team in the AFC West (including a former team, the Seahawks)
has been to a Super Bowl during King Carl's rein, but us
• Two playoff apperances in the last 10 years.
• No playoff wins since 1994 (Average ticket Price = $26.83). Only the Lions and Bengals have waited longer for a NFL playoff win than the Chiefs. Even the Arizona Cardinals have won a playoff game during that time. Average ticket price in 2006 = $72.56
• The only AFC team with less playoff wins than the Chiefs since their last Superbowl appearance is the expansion Houston Texans.
• 13-3 with home field advantage in the playoffs three times and did nothing but lose thier first game.
• Since 1996-97 we have not had back to back winning seasons.
• 4 Head Coaches during King Carl's rein
I know that King Carl is not going anywhere. But when Marty left I felt he was still a good coach but it was time for him to move on. It is time for King Carl to voluntarily move on.

BigRed, Nice stats and information...

Nice to see the playoff stats, Without Montana... Carl and Co would be 0-9....

I love Carl praising those playoff teams and hike up the prices...

Actually Carl has a playoff win without Montana. 91 against the Raiders at Arrowhead.

We won a playoff game in 1990 against the Raiders with Steve DeBerg at QB.

Great post. The facts don't lie. Carl's time as GM is up as far as I'm concerned.
