View Full Version : With 50 Picks In The Books, Who Do You Want The Chiefs To Draft At #75, If Available?
04-21-2001, 05:05 PM
How this vote works will be twofold:
1. We're assuming the Chiefs DO NOT trade up from # 75
2. Whoever finishes 2nd in the poll will be the Chiefs pick at # 77

Marcus Steele is my top pick for 75, followed by Orlando Huff, but neither are on your list...
Caver is the first name from my list that appears on yours (that I believe will be available at 75 - I'm not counting players like Rogers, Chambers and Marshall who I believe will be gone in the second).

What's everyone's stiffy with Fatafehi? When Rogers is healthy, he'd slap Fatafehi like a little girl. Wasn't Fatafehi's 40 time incredibly slow?
04-21-2001, 05:37 PM
Chambers is gone...
9 left, with 22 picks still to go before we pick.
Sure wish I could edit these polls...
Will we trade up? I'm thinking more and more that we won't and just hang on tight until # 75

A minute ago I thought we should stand pat.
Now I think we should trade up for Rogers.
04-21-2001, 05:39 PM
My choice is Mike Gandy, G, Notre Dame, and Fatehi, even might take a chance of Rogers. He is the best choice, if we don't need him this year. We missed a good shot at trading up with Dallas.

By the way, is it just me, or has this turned into the most commercialized TV event, you have ever seen. I mean hell, these guys can't talk 2 minutes until they go back for 4 or 5 minutes commercials.

Come on now... you know just as well as I do that no way will Markus Steele be a Chief.
I mean, he's from USC for crying out loud! ;)
It is so UCLA-infested at Arrowhead right now, they wouldn't sniff at the next Marcus Allen, Junior Seau, or OJ Simpson for goodness sakes...
Makes me wonder how in the world Larry Parker survives the round of cuts come Training Camp.
Talk about nepotism...

Did anyone catch what Dallas just did, they traded down 4 picks, to pick up a 3rd. Then traded back up, to draft two picks after their original, and sent New Orleans, two of their thirds. Why??? Just pick Carter, and their 3rd. Hope someone explains that in the paper tomorrow.

That move made even less sense than the Donkos taking Toviessi...
Caver is gone.

What a bunch of homers!
To all you KU and KState fans, how about some intellectual honesty?
04-21-2001, 06:03 PM
Less than 20 picks left and 8 of the 10 options still available.
Have a good hunch at least 2 of these options are available to us when we pick at 75 & 77
Fall baby, fall!
04-21-2001, 06:06 PM
Back to back, Howard (Stanford - to Minnesota) and Henry (Tennessee - to Buffalo) taken away
Leaves 6 options of these 10 from the poll
04-21-2001, 06:07 PM
Scratch Travis Henry.

There will be no quality people left when the Chiefs pick.
Carl and Vermeil left their brains behind when they decided on this strategy. I can't understand this optimism that evryone is having.
04-21-2001, 06:17 PM
With the signing of Old Man Brister, we probably wouldn't draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th, but Tuie just went to Oakland.
Mark, I'm afraid I share your lack of optimism. I'm just not happy with any of the moves we've made this offseason. Horne might be ok. Oops, there goes Howard.
04-21-2001, 06:21 PM
There went Dyson, almost everyone some of us thought would be there in the third, is gone. Still hoping for Gandy, Rogers, and Fatehi
04-21-2001, 06:23 PM
Oh well, there goes Rogers.
04-21-2001, 06:23 PM
What about Casper in the third?
04-21-2001, 06:27 PM
How about Casper AND Fatafehi in the third? :)
I'm hoping we nab Torrance Marshall too. Although Edwards and Maslowski have their positions locked, some competition with Patton for WLB would be healthy (IMO). Currently: Bush, Stills and Atkins.
04-21-2001, 06:34 PM
If VD was sporting wood over Chambers... I bet he takes Wynn if he's there when you come up.... Big, fast, amazing talent.
04-21-2001, 06:40 PM
Gandy, Casper, Fatehi, Sullivan still there 10 to go
04-21-2001, 06:44 PM
I was about to mention Gandy, red! :)
If he's still on the board at #75, I won't be surprised if we take him. He's a solid OG - that is one of our needs.
04-21-2001, 06:49 PM
Chicago just took him, goddammit, I hope we get two all pros with those friggin picks in the 5th and 7th. I can live with what we did yesterday, but why we could not have move up into the lower second or upper third, is beyond me.
04-21-2001, 06:51 PM
William Peterson would be a SOLID CB to pic up where you're at.

I'd be happy with he or with Jue, JQ.
And it looks likely that we'll be taking LB/CB/DT now, with Gandy off the board...
04-21-2001, 06:59 PM
Still some value at WR also. If they were hung up on Chambers, they might go Casper, Bannister or Alexander, of Grambling.
04-21-2001, 07:00 PM
I read this board a lot and I just thought I would chime in and give my support for Torrance Marshall. I hope that the Chiefs draft him at #75 and then draft Fatafehi at #77. That would be a good job for defense today. We'll probably draft some unknown though at one of our picks. Just the Chiefs way of doing things.
04-21-2001, 07:03 PM
Proctor just had a coronary, the Packers just took Marshall, and Jue.
04-21-2001, 07:07 PM
I guess I won't get my wish for Marshall. Time to get Fatafehi and someone else. Who else should the Chiefs take this round?
04-21-2001, 07:10 PM
Anyone know anything about Downing?
04-21-2001, 07:11 PM
Browning DE, Syracuse, don't know much about him, guess they didn't like Fatehi as much as we did, BDCF.
