I have a feeling it could be the Bruins' year to win the national title. I think it's their defense. Memphis' easy schedule will hurt them like Kansas' schedule hurt the Jayhawks last year. The top four seem like strong teams.

#3 Kansas
#22 A&M
#26 KSU

No love for the Buckeyes huh, must of not heard about Koufus coming to our school, he is only 7'2, and is dominating at Oak Hill Academy.

SC should be ranked higher than Ark and Gonzaga

And by half a season you mean back probably before the Arizona game in November right?

I heard he won't be back playing at full speed until Jan.

"The surgery is so much more advanced than it was just a few years ago," Self said. "If things go well, he may not miss any games at all. There's no way to know."

"We're not going to bring him back too soon," he said. "It will take a while after the surgery before he feels like he's ready to cut loose. He may miss some practice time, but we're hoping he may not miss any of the season."

I'm glad UConn's being overlooked, since they were completely overrated to start last year. I think they'll be pretty good this year with a chance to be a threat if Hasheem Thabeet progresses like he can.

Yes, I guess I should of been more specific concerning his injury...

Pardon me...

Georgetown, USC, Gonzaga, Arizona, Tennessee, UConn/Kentucky/Oklahoma, Cincy, UAB... mmm, cake!

For those scoring at home, that's the meat of Memphis' "easy" schedule. That easy schedule took Memphis to the Elite 8 the last two years.

If you thought it was too early for rankings, then here's Lunardi's latest Bracketology for next year. I noticed that Mizzou is a 10 seed and KU must go through UCLA again.

I'm trying to figure out how he doesn't have KSU in his top 5 Big 12 teams. That's really interesting.

Don't they have anything better to do at this time of the year. :shake:

I completely agree with Memphis there. They really proved themselves last year. They are freaking STACKED. The wildcard for KU next year is Darrell Arthur. KU will go as far as Arthur takes them. If Arthur can develop into a Drew Gooden type player, watch out. I already know Sherron Collins is tough as nails. All I know is I will fight someone if we have to play UCLA in california again next year.

No Huggy, No Ranky.

Memphis HAS to schedule tough out of conference, because their conference (aside from them) sucks ball sacks.

I'm sure that's it, but players win games, and KSU has significantly upgraded their talent. I just don't see how you put MU and OU above KSU at this point.

The original point was that Memphis would struggle in the tourney because of their easy schedule. I'd say their schedule is far from easy, regardless of the conference.

My point was that Memphis' conference schedule won't prepare them for the NCAA Tournament. I know they have a tough non-conference schedule, but KU beat Florida early last season and that didn't help them against UCLA.

I don't think KU's schedule hurt them against UCLA, nor do I believe Memphis' schedule hurt them against Ohio St. I think we saw four very good teams, where any of those four could have beaten each other on a given day. There doesn't always have to be a reason some team loses. They just got beat. KU wouldn't have made more layups against UCLA if they had played a tougher non-con schedule. It was just one of those days.

No Florida in the top 25???

I realize we lost everyone, but that was the case 2 years ago and we didn't have the #1 recruiting class coming in then. Oh well, that worked out pretty well for us ;)

Um Coach maybe? Both MU and OU have coaches that have College level coaches on the sidelines.... KSU are breaking in freshman and a rookie coach...

This isnt AAU basketball...
