Well, being rated #1 on paper or on a web site is incredibly different than being rated #1 on the field or in the division.

Seattle may have had the best draft weekend, but it's not like they automatically vault ahead of Oakland or Denver.

I don't mean to knock ya down off your cloud, but don't turn into Vance on us, Joey. There's no gurantee that Hasselback will be the QB that most people think that he can be, and it may take the young guys a while to hit their stride in the NFL.

Don't let the Media Bandwagon towards Seattle get to your head.

MHM, Dont get me wrong..I'm not saying we are going to be world beaters this year..In fact If we improve to 9-7 I would be able to live with that..

It's just cool to see that (if the experts are somewhat correct) that we took advantage of our draft position. and didn't waste this prime oppurtunitty to get some young talent...

Oh, I agree with you... and if Seattle stay in the AFC West, I will fear the Birds in the upcoming years. Hell, I'm beginning to fear the Birds now.

I do think that Seattle is a seaon away from a 10+ win season, but if the schedule is nice this season and the injuries are minimal, then I think 9 or possibly 10 wins is there for the taking.

I think there is a strong chance that everyone except for the Bolts has 9 wins in the division. I'll have to check the math to see if that is possible.

Seattle did a hell of a job over the weekend, though.

I do tend to agree with the 'experts', that Seattle had an impressive draft on paper. Remains to be seen how these guys will pan out, as with every one else in the NFL.

I'm reserving judgment for now, on the actual state of your team for this season. Your defense will be greatly improved, IMO. The possibility still exists however, that these aging vets recently signed will not deliver as expected, but I'm giving the benifit of the doubt for now they will produce.

Your offense is a complete enigma to me right now. This is the main reason I'm holding back. If Watters is let go, which is still a distinct possibility, then you're looking at a career backup you just traded for as your staring QB(boy that sounds pretty familiar), a sophomore RB, rookie FB, and a soph and frosh starting WR tandem. Your guess is as good as mine how that will fit together in 2001.

Next year or the year after, though...well, let me just say I like the looks of the AFC West without you!!

With the picks that they had, Seattle made the most of it IMO. But, I do like what SF did too....... (Carter, Winborn, Kevan Barlow), or maybe those are just the players that I would have liked KC to get!

Cory, I agree 100% with your post#(oh yeah they're not numbered anymore)

Our offense IS an enigma..I think Ricky will stay now..He's coming off his best year as a Seahawk and I think the threat of Alexander made him even better last year..This year however, he will need to reduce his carries for the soph. Can he handle that? I think so.

Now, if we sign Jerry Rice to bring our young wideouts along...AND Ricky can handle reduced carries AND Hasselback is the real deal AND you get the idea...

An enigma with potential.

On Defense we will be better, cause we cant be worse...:) I think the vets Holmy brought in will provide much needed leadership qualities and I expect this Defense to be in the top half of the league...But still, They have proven nothing to me yet...

Another enigma with potential.

I just cant wait to see how this team does, Overall I'm very realistically optimistic..:)

Get the season goin already!
