We'll have to catch this up for the January through June period, but let's fill in where we've been this year. Every time you post, copy the sheet below into your post and add your own names to it. Let's add every single community or other location we've visited this year.

The rules:

1. Count only destinations. If you drove from Kansas City to Denver, don't count every Kansas town along the path. The one exception is below.

2. Count anywhere you've spent the night. Even if it wasn't your final destination, count anywhere you've spent the night.

3. Enter the state first, then a dash, and then the city. If you were in a foreign country, enter as ZZZ+country+city.

4. If it was a destination that was not a community, please enter it in the same format, e.g., Wyoming - Yellowstone National Park.

I'll start.

California - Newport Beach

Colorado - Centennial
Colorado - Commerce City

Actually it has nothing to do with you. In order for us to have lunch I'd either have to borrow my cousin's car (not happening) or you'd have to come get me. The latter would be an excruciating experience in front of 10 members of my immediate family.

Also, I'm sure you've heard of the ladder theory.

Jacksonville, population 6. :D It's always amused me that someone named all these little podunk towns after large southern cities (Jacksonville, Macon, Atlanta) and there aren't 10,000 people in them combined.

They finally finished the Jacksonville bypass on US 63. It's almost all dual lanes now between Macon and Moberly - that might get the last 6 to move out.

They're even finally making it dual lanes between Macon and Kirksville. That's long overdue.

I have some pretty cool memories of Jacksonville as a kid. My grandma lived right behind the store and across the field behind the post office. When she died, they tore down the house. I think my mom and her siblings got to divide up the 3-4 grand the land and house was worth combined. It was definitely small. Mom said you can't even hardly get to it from the highway anymore. Just seems weird. It's probably been at least 15 years since I was last up there.
