Hi everybody. This is FAX.

In the Spirit of America's Birthday, the Principles of Freedom and Liberty, God given Rights, and Ostentatious Displays Of Same, I have cast Off the long train of Abuses and Usurpations and Begun the Official ChiefsPlanet 4th of July Parade Thread.

When in the Course of human Events, it becomes Necessary for one Poster to Make a Thread according to the Laws of Nature and of such Laws that Nature's God entitle such Poster, we Planeteers shall each Post on this Thread such that we would Choose to Represent in the great Parade.

In other words, each post is a parade thing. You can be whatever you want except an all-trombone band. That is disallowed, and for good reason.

I am also hereby honored to announce that Mr. Logical is our Grand Marshal. Mainly because Mr. Skip Towne is too tired to be that.

Nevertheless, I will start with this post and wish a happy 4th to you all.

I am a Shriner man with a crazy hat and I have two young, blonde, nubile girls in sequined bikinis with me in my funny little car.

It appears you have me on a technicality, Mr. Rain Man. Anyway,
since this pitiable parade consists solely of some shriners, coronets, one flag lady, a 54 T-Bird, some sort of bizarre lightmobile, and a really scary ass damn clown with odd teeth, I guess we can let talk to the hand santa in, too.

Be sure to throw candy though, Mr. Rain Man. And, Mars bars to the old folks.

Yep. The T-bird was introduced at the Detroit Auto Show in Feb. of 1954 and the first ones were built in September of 1954. But they were all registered and titled as 1955's.
