I bet Pena doesn't get a walk this game. Six walks on the year. Batting like .272 with .290 on base percentage. That is pathetic. Pena has been a decent suprise, but don't be fooled by his BA, he's not been that great. When you have that many at bats and so few walks, you are swinging at way to many pitches. Thank god he's a contact hitter or he'd have more K's than Adam Dunn.

Reminds me of that old Puerto Rico/Dominican Republic saying: "You cant walk off the island"

Goddamn, they're playing like ass today.

And the White Sox lost their first game in a doubleheader aganist the Twins, with a final score of 20-14.

Right now, in their 2nd game, they are losing, 3-0 in the 2nd inning.

So, with that in mind, the Royals really need to win the goddamn baseball game here, especially aganist the Tampa F**king Bay Devil Rays, for Christ sakes!

what can the royals do to be more consistent? player wise, where is the improvement needed? why can we score 17 runs in one game, than like 3 in the week that follows?

who stays? who goes?

I had a bad feeling about this series, the Rays have lost 11 in a row and I don't care how bad a team is they always break out of slumps.

For those wondering, according to MLB (I think, we'll see), Fossum's useless appearance is worthy of a Hold. According to STATS, Inc. he doesnt get a Hold. I use MLB here.

Its fine, it was one questionable pitch, and Soria was able to overcome to get the strikeout anyway.

Well I have been a part of enough Royals games this year to know the Umps are too often un-kind to our pitchers.

Was anybody able to watch that game? Why wasn't Gathright attempting to steal, especially after Pena couldn't bunt him over?

I mean, if he can't steal a base down a run in the 9th, what's the point of having him on the team?

The pitcher threw 18,429,616 pitches to first, and he nearly got picked off twice.

He had ample time to read Glover's move, and he couldn't steal against a right-hander? Does Glover have that good a RH move, or ... ?
