Good deal. Hopefully the kid's impressive up in RF.

I've been saying since we signed him he would probably be the return man.

One thing I don't understand is, why not have him return kickoffs too? Is Webb that much better?

Someone posted a video of him on here a while back. I can't find it though.

So will we carry 6 WRs?

Kennison
Bowe
Webb
Hannon
Parker
Randolph

I think Gardner is still listed officially

Yes. Herm is installing the Run & Shoot this year. :)

I think it will be a toss up on Parker, Hannon, and Gardner making the roster, and thats assuming that Randolph does make it as a returnman. We will probably only carry 5 at most, and 1 or 2 maybe on the Practice Squad.

I think Bowe, Kennison and Webb are locks.
Parker will probably stick around as well...
I'm guessing Hannon gets the last spot.

I think they carry 5 and let Webb do the return duties.

Let's not forget about Brandon EK....... He caught everything that came his way during OTAs and think he has a chance at pushing Hannon, Gardner or Webb for a spot.

Old news. Herm said he was the front runner back on June 20.

Get some young blood in there. I like Jeff Webb on KR and PR, he was solid last year. I am and have been a big Jeff Webb fan since we drafted him, so hopefully he takes the shot he is gonna get this year at WR and becomes what he has the potential to become.

I'm actually pulling for Eck, but the cards are stacked against him.
I think four spots are already locked down.

Unless they keep 6 or he just blows the other receivers away it's gonna be tough for him to make this team.

He's not gonna push Webb or Hannon out, maybe we can get lucky and let him take Gardners spot. Webb and Hannon have a great shot at clocking in quite a bit of playing time this year. Webb will be the 3rd WR IMO.

I dont think Hannon is the lock everybody is making him out to be.

Yeah, if we're going to give return duties to two other WRs, I just don't see why we would keep Hannon.

1) EK
2) Bowe
3) Parker/Webb
4) Webb/Parker
5) Randolph

Herm specifically mentioned Hannon during the NFL Network interview he did yesterday. They asked if there was some young guys who'd caught his eye, and Herm named Bowe, Webb, Hannon, and then brought up Eddie to talk about the WR core as a whole.

Parker was never mentioned.

Me either. Webb's a lock because of the pick they invested in him.
I think they'll give him at least this season to prove himself.
Hannon's a different story.

Does anyone know who are FA WR next season? We will have lots of cap room and I bet we go after someone at that position, unless there's a good young OT or CB or LB out there.

I think a lot depends if Bowe, Hannon and Webb turn out to really show some potential, then looking for someone in free agency would probably not be an option.

But expecting all 3 to to live up to Herman ****ing Edwards' hype is really unrealistic.

For my money, I'm betting we have six WRs, especially if two of them end up doing return duties.

1. Kennison
2. Bowe
3. Webb <----------- returner
4. Parker
5. Hannon vs. Eck
6. Randolph <---------- returner

I don't know much about this guy, what are his main attributes and who can he be compared to?

If Hannon and Webb do match the Herman ****ing Edwards' hype, and Randolph is the PR, then it would not surprise me to see Carl work out some kind of trade inolving Parker, or see him get cut.

Randolph was the Big East special teams player of the year last year for his punt returns. He gives up about 10 pounds to Dante Hall, but other than that they're the same size. Herm said after the rookie mini-camp that Randolph was probably going to be the punt returner, so the kid must have made quite an impression.
