I'm a bit hesitent. I liked the first one, but the direction/crazy camera movement of the second one really irritated me. I think this one has the same director.

i'm looking forward to it, still not sure why Damon is so good in that role, but he is...

I think it's because he plays "stoic" better than anyone since Clint Eastwood.

yeah, I also thing his "clean cut" appearance makes his violence more interesting...you expect Charles Bronson to wreck you, just look at his face...but Matt Damon?

Right. Matt Damon doesn't seem to be an action movie star, but he works well in the Bourne movies.

Same director for 2 and 3. First was different.

I think he works well in the role because he doesn't seem a likely action hero. He's a reluctant participant -- like Bruce Willis in Die Hard.

Also, because of the roles Damon has chosen, we see him as an intelligent person, which makes it easy to "buy in" to the character. We wouldn't believe it if it were "Biff" playing the role.

true...imagine how terrible it would be with Affleck...

He underplays the role very well. He really doesn't change his attitude or demeanor throughout the movie whether he's walking down the street or throttling a guy with a phone cord. He is, essentially, playing a "machine". He has the unique skill to pull it off.

No, not worst... he's significantly better than Rob Schneider.

He's perfected the facial expression to convey a mind going 1,000 mph, while still 'expressionless.' That coupled with 24/7 purposeful movement without hesitation or 2nd guessing, conveys that he's some kind of real time situation analysis super-computer.
