Greg Cadrez LB released by the Broncos earlier in the week was interviewed on 106.7 KBPIs' Locker Room moring show and he said he had had some conversations with KC and had just got off the phone with the Browns this morning. He said he really likes Robinson but he feels he needs to talk to other teams as well for some leveradge in talks with other teams.

I think he is a good LB I remember hearing his name a lot during games but not much else...anyone else have any opinion?

He's a good player but I'm not sure how much of an upgrade if any. He'd also take developmental playing time from some of our own draft picks. I'm in favor of developing our guys instead of dropping a fat salary on someone like Cadrez.

He's got playing time and a pretty good linebacker to boot. If he's cheap why not grab him.

Any relation to Glen Cadrez?

KPhobia,

Did I miss something, I do not know of any Linebackers drafted by the Chiefs, there was speculation the guy from K-State might be made a linebacker but Robinson and Vermiel said he was drafted to provide back-up depth at DE. Maybe I misssed something?

We picked up an undrafted FA rookie LB from Rutgers, I believe, but I can't think of anyone else.

The players name that the Chiefs are looking at from Denver is Glen Cadrez. I think he played OLB for them at least on a part-time basis if not a starter.

The Chiefs are quickly turning into the Kansas City Ramcos. (Ram-Bronco hybred.)
Maybe we could hire a coach from the Ravens. I wouldn't mind getting a few of their players. :D

Ramcos seems to be an appropriate name for the Chiefs but someone had said Rams-West, and I thought it was fitting also. I just hope that all of the new additions correlate to success for the Chiefs in 2001.

Jim,

I'm not talking about draft picks from just THIS year.
