So as a YouTube video, this is awesome. Funny as hell. "I'm greatful for Rudy for the domestic partner program he implemented in this city, because I've had no less than *FIVE* domestic partners."

ROFL

Now the F'd up part, IMO is that they are running this ad on TV in South Carolina. This is akin to the Swift Boating of Kerry, or the racist ad used against Harold Ford. Technically it might be more honest and accurate, but it's just as dirty, IMO, to run it in on TV in a southern state.

I could see how it would be very effective. So effective that like the Swift Boat ads, it only takes a few bucks to run it enough to get local and national media play... leading to a flood of national money supporting the organization to run in more widely.

That's how the Swift Boat thing happened. And it pisses me off just as much if not more that it's the Libs doing this.

I've always counted on Rudy to be a supporter of Gay Rights. He's been there for us by standing against the Federal Marriage Amendment, supporting civil unions and even signing the groundbreaking gay Domestic Partnership Bill. It was a common sight to see Rudy marching in a gay pride parade or looking fabulous decked out in full drag. As a New Yorker, I was proud to have a mayor who was such an open and friendly ally in the struggle for equal rights.

Sadly, things have changed now that he's looking for votes in South Carolina.

Rudy has turned his back on the community that he supported and that supported him. But fear not, 'Gays For Giuliani' is here to remind Rudy what he really believes in. We'd like to educate Republican primary voters about the Rudy that we know and love by pointing to his actual, impressive and progressive record.

It's as if Rudy has suddenly become afraid of gay people. So, we've trotted out a few stereotypes that will surely frighten him and maybe even some of his new rightwing supporters.

Rudy, it's time to 'come out of the closet' as a gay rights supporter.

We've decided to air a 30-second version of the ad in South Carolina, where the voters need the most education about Rudy's record. A contribution today can help us get our message out to voters in Columbia.

It's good, but they need to end it with some footage of Rudy prancing around in drag. I can't believe that the "Rudy in drag" thing isn't being played more.

Honestly, I support most gay rights, so none of his gay stuff bothers me at all. But the idea of a U.S. President running around in a dress, even as a joke... that's the guy that represents our country to the world. It makes me question his judgement.

It makes me question his judgement.

Then you throw in a couple divorces, Bernard Kerik, the command center positioning in the WTC and his undying support for Bush. He's shown nothing but bad judgment.

That is a terrible, horrible mistake. I am totally against that ad - wutta buncha stoopid fuggers! You don't wanna swiftboat Guiliani now... you gotta lure the Repubs into nominating him first! This is wut peeves me about Dems - if we're gonna use gutter-dwelling, no-class, Rove-style Republican politics, we at least gotta be smart about it. We gotta embrace the Rovian platitude:

"Premature swiftboating can lead to electile dysfunction"

Everything you say, in every post you post is wrong (with the notable occasional exception of when you agree with something I said, of course). But that last part was pretty funny. LMAO
