Here's a game to test your film knowledge (or at least your film knowledge over my favorite movies :D)

Give the name of the movie, plus either a.) the director of the movie or b.) one actor or actress from the scene.

Pretty good Nzoner. You got 5.5 out of 7 correct. The director of "On The Waterfront" is Elia Kazan. It was his reasoning film for giving out supposed communists in Hollywood.

Number 4 is not "The Birth of a Nation" and Number 6 is not "The Tramp", but it is however, Charlie Chaplin.

Nope, not City Lights either, but it is one of his more famous ones.

Nice job getting The Battleship Potemkin. It's the famous Odessa Steps scene, which should look familiar to anyone who has seen "The Untouchables" with Costner, Connery, and others. The director of that movie, Brian De Palma, paid homage to the Odessa Steps in the shootout scene in the train station, near the end of "The Untouchables."

The answer was "The Gold Rush" (1925)
