Ted Nugent Video: Rips Obama, Hillary With Machine Guns in Hand
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
By Jim Roberts
Aug 24, 2007
Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama caught the full wrath of the "Motor City Madman" rocker Ted Nugent and it is captured in an online video. Nugent, an avid hunter, threatens Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton during a performance- with machine guns in hand! According to the caption, it was recorded at one of Nugent's concerts about a week ago.
Ted Nugent Video: Rips Obama, Hillary With Machine Guns in Hand (Wenn)
Nugent screams "Freedom" and this lets loose with a expletive laden tirade and doesn't really hold back at all inviting the presidential candidate Barack to "suck on this" referring to his machine gun. He then calls Obama a "punk" He tells Hillary she can "ride one of these into the sunset (again referring to the machine gun.) and calls her a worthless b*tch.
***
He also hits up the two United States Senators from California. He slams both Diane Feinstein (D-CA) and Barbara Boxer (D-CA) as well. Nugent is not a fan of liberals at all. The crowd cheers as he does his act and at the end of the clip he asks "any questions?" The US Secret service may have some.
The video is here.

As a hunter and gun owner, I gotta side with my fellow Michigan resident Nuge on this issue. Why do some dems want to take our guns away? I don't do anything illegal with mine, but some of them assume that anyone with a gun will.

What's strange about disagreeing with remarks you disagree with, and NOT disagreeing with remarks you don't disagree with?
And when it comes to 'shut up and sing' there is a difference between an actor/singer opining about things such as environmental regulations or trade policy or foreign diplomacy, etc., etc., and something as simple as the 2nd amendment.
It's not about them not being entitled to their opinion. It's about using their fame to suggest some sense of authority on issues they've put 5 seconds of thought into.
You don't get 'shut up and sing' if someone says they're pro-life or pro-choice.
That said, I'm not all that passionate about gun rights. I support them, but am not passionate about it. Never owned a gun. Just not my scene. So I'm not 'yee-hawing' Nuge's display. Just pointing out the differences in situations.

Liberals wanting to take our guns away has been a long term election wedge issue. It's kinda like the immigration issue: There are so many already in the U.S. how are you logistically going to make guns and illegal’s disappear?
A friend of mine recently talked about pulling his support of the NRA due to their continued support of Republicans. The same political party leading the way in a continuing abysmal military action at odds with the American people. The same party that is determined to remove or impugn our civil liberties.

The Dems aren't fully in charge. They just have a majority. They have a narrower majority than the Republicans had before them, and they have a President who is going to work against them far more than he is going to work with them, wrt the war in Iraq. The only legislation they have a chance of passing is legislation that requires only a majority vote. They don't have enough of a majority to override a Presidential veto. They aren't going to get a whole lot done on the war while Bush is still President. Right now, the most effective thing they will be able to do is provide checks and balances on the President, something that was practically nonexistent through the first six years. With a Democratic President, or a President sympathetic to ending the war, they will be able to get a lot more done, because they won't have to worry about petulant veto threats every time they introduce a new bill.

This lame excuse for the Dem Congress is not the real political situation. Dems don't have to pass a bill to stop the war. They just have to stop passing funding bills like Congress did in the early 70's and not worry about it when the righties yell "Why Down't yew sa-port da troops?"

That's exactly what their opponents want them to do, and it would be political suicide. It would leave the troops high and dry, and this close to a new Presidential election, the Republicans would be able to play that as a major wedge against them. Politically, there is no good solution right now, and they're playing damage control. It works to their favor right now to keep Bush in the forefront as the villain who won't work with them. If they just pull the plug, the Republicans will be able to point to them as the villains, and they will risk splitting their own base. It's a giant chessboard right now.

They can either play politics (as you seem to advocate) or they can use the actual power that they have to do what they said they'd do. I think that was banyon's point. It appears to me that they'd rather preserve their own political skins than follow through on their top campaign promise. Nugent screams "Freedom" and this lets loose with a expletive laden tirade and doesn't really hold back at all inviting the presidential candidate Barack to "suck on this" referring to his machine gun. Congress has that rating. Not the Dems in Congress, not the Repubs in Congress, but Congress as a whole. On the Iraq war, the Republicans have stonewalled them at every turn, knowing that they still have Bush at their back with his veto power. Right now, there's not squat the Democrats can do with only a hair of a majority, short of going to a politically suicidal extreme that nobody expects them to go to (though the Republicans desperately hope they will, since they've otherwise squandered any other advantage the Dems' inaction might have given them for '08). If you all don't like or understand that it's a chess game, that's on you.

Nevertheless, it appears you need to be educated.
this is a case where *you* made a claim...
... and that claim was debunked.
Well, you got that one half right. You're right, I did make a claim. Then you had to go and be wrong again by claiming it was debunked. In fact, it was not debunked. The Dems aren't fully in charge. Bush can trump any legislation they attempt, and they lack enough of a majority to override him, unless it is on an issue that both sides haven't sold their souls on. Brock claimed that the Dems are in charge now, so should have been able to stop the war at any time. That is incredibly naive and shortsighted, and forgets that Congress doesn't have the ability to enact legislation for the war, its funding, and so on, if they can't override a Presidential veto. Of course, if you thought you had debunked my claim based only on the numbers, and on the mistaken notion that my claim was actually "the Dems aren't fully in charge of Congress," then you would still be wrong, because the Dems don't have a majority in the Senate, and their control of that house is contingent on the two Independents voting with them instead of the Republicans.
Let's try to come together on a point on which we should all be able to agree: I was wrong.
I'm sure this is what you meant to post, and on that score, I agree, you were wrong.

I thought in the youtube debate when that guy was on there with his guns, and one of the candidates said they thought he was brain damaged or something like that, was pretty telling. I don't remember the exact context, but I saw a clip of it and thought, yep, that's what they really think.
Thats what I think...

According to some reports not a single person in the audience felt that Nugent was doing anything other than comedy while on stage. I guess what happened and what it meant to everyone is determined by which side of the political fence you might stand on. It even looks like those on the fence thought it was funny.
From other reports the "machine gun" was a fake, not capable of firing real bullets. Go figure.

Why do you need to rely on reports when it is captured on video and is there for anyone to see?

So Ted Nugent roams a concert stage while toting automatic weapons, calls Barack Obama "a piece of -----" and says he told Obama to suck on one of his machine-guns. He also calls Hillary Clinton a "worthless bitch" and Dianne Feinstein a "worthless whore."
That Nugent, he's a man's man. He talks the talk and walks the walk, right?
Except when it was time to register for the draft during the Vietnam era. By his own admission, Nugent stopped all forms of personal hygiene for a month and showed up for his draft board physical in pants caked with his own urine and feces, winning a deferment. Creative!
Ah, but that was a long time ago. Nugent isn't just a washed-up rocker -- he's a right-wing madman who's not afraid to call out some of the leading Democrats in language so vile it makes the Dixie Chick Natalie Maines' comments about President Bush sound like a love poem.
You'd think even someone such as Sean Hannity would dismiss Nugent as a macho clown, desperate for attention.
Yeah, right.
In a discussion on his show last week, Hannity refused to condemn Nugent's remarks, saying, "I like Ted Nugent . . . he's a friend of mine," and even laughing loudly as Alan Colmes read the transcript of some of Nugent's remarks.
Funny. I don't remember Hannity being so cavalier about the Dixie Chicks went they criticized Bush.
Not that he's operating under a double standard or anything.

I guess CNN is not reputable.

Let's see, the liberals hate Nugent, the conservatives love him. The libertarians want to have his babies. The wall is standing strong with each party on either side and the libertarians straddling it.
If you guys haven't gotten past that you are bound to argue the same points for the rest of your life regardless of who is in office or who is talking politics.
It's all a comedy show and those posting are participating.

Buy a car stereo with video. They have them now.

I still have another 100,000 miles to put on my car. I'm not too worried about having video in my vehicle. I can listen and drive, that's good enough for me.

I say:
In this corner: Kanye West
In that corner: Ted Nugent
Cage Match to the death.
No weapons, just fists and feet.
See What Happens
Set National Policy
Based on the winner's political bent.
Oh,
And put it on pay per view.

I wouldn't necessarily vote against Nugent, but he's at a significant age disadvantage there, I think. He's almost 60 and West is 30.
After looking that up, I can see why Kanye is so radical politically. His dad was a Black Panther.

Nugent would kick his a$$ and rip heart out thru his chest.
one can only hope that Karma pays Nugent a visit and he gets shot in the head with his own gun.
