It was actually up all last season. I'm still surprised that they haven't gone after places like this and the Sopcast game listing (http://streamednfl.blogspot.com).

They're just gathering IPs for their future RIAA-style attack.

If these sites are hosted in another country where the RIAA laws dont apply, they cant do a damn thing about it.

Could they do anything to the downloaders?

My hope would be that the availability of game torrents and live streams will eventually get the NFL to wake up and realize that the rules have changed. I'd gladly pay to see Chiefs games online if they would offer it.

Only if they get information from the company. Then again, all your getting is bits of data. I guess anything is possible, but i would say its highly unlikely.

I'd probably disagree with that. Just like movies and music, torrents are notoriously easy to find other users' IP addresses. If someone got pissy about you downloading a game, it wouldn't take them a whole lot of effort to find you.

Only 1 guy i know has been busted and that was for hosting an illegal download server on irc. He was just told to take it down and fined 500bucks by the RIAA. What they really want is the people who start it off. You will just get a warning i beleive.

At this point with how many people actually use the internet, its like a needle in a haystack now days.

That I can agree with. It's highly improbable that you'd get busted, but that doesn't mean it can't happen.

uTorrent or Azureus?

uTorrent or Azureus?

That's the one I just downloaded, uTorrent.

Is 200 KB/sec a good DL speed?

Oh, and I leave the client open after it downloads, yes? That's 'seedling"?

I use Azureus and it make using the computer impossible while I'm downloading or seeding. Choppy and slow.
Is this normal? Should I try a different download program? I have been hesitant because I spent like 5 hours using tuturials to get my ports set up on my router.

You need the client: http://www.utorrent.com/download.php

"Get µTorrent 1.7.2 Stable (218 kB)"

I looked for the unstable version, but I couldn't find it.

Register at http://www.tenyardtorrents.com/

Then, go to the Forums and find the 2007-2008 pre-season games.

http://forums.tenyardtorrents.com/viewforum.php?id=151

Find the Chiefs/Saints game link (http://forums.tenyardtorrents.com/viewtopic.php?id=4753) and download the attachment in post #1.

Open your uTorrent client and do "File, Add Torrent" Find the torrent you just downloaded and it'll start downloading.

I just passed 1 GB, so I'm close. Of course, I have no idea what to do when it finishes. Does it just play, or what?

Azureus has been know to do that you might want to try u-torrent. From what I understand it doesn't do it as much.

Go to the file you downladed the video to. Normally it is in your "My Videos" folder if you are running Windows. Once you find the file play it like any other video file.

Often times, video files are encoded using one of a couple technologies known as DivX (http://www.divx.org/) or Xvid (http://www.xvid.org/). In order to play them, you need to download their software. They're both free, and can be easily downloaded from their makers' web sites (linked above).

If you're still having trouble, try downloading and installing VLC Media Player (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). It'll play just about anything.
