Damn you, Luke Hochevar. We could have had 6'8 Andrew Miller instead of you and BorASS.

What's Zack's pitch limit tonight?

I read that it would be about 60-65, give or take a few if he's feeling tired or good. He may not be able to win this one unless the Tigers come out swinging on the first pitch.

It's humorous that Hochevar has a dominant start in AAA on the same night we knock Andrew Miller out of the game in the 1st inning.

I feel like we really have turned it around this time. I mean watching that game tonight reinforces it. Royals are going places, Chiefs.... not so much. Itd be nice for KC to have two winners.

It was entertaining to see Miller get knocked out so early after listening to various radio hosts about town talk about how big a mistake it was not to draft him, and to make sure you tuned in tonight to see what they missed.

(not that it wasn't a mistake, it's just funny when karma hits)

It's good to see Greinke off to a good start... hopefully he can keep it up. If he becomes a good starter he'll be a great addition to Meche and Bannister. It's amazing how far our pitching has come along under Dayton.

Great outing by Braun too. In a perfect world... I really wouldn't complain if we left Soria as the closer... but if we made him a successful starter, we could have a rotation of Meche, Bannister, Greinke, Soria, and Hochevar. Braun would reach his potential as a dominant reliever, we'd could have a bullpen out of the group consisting of Davies, De La Rosa, Bale, Gobble, Peralta, Riske, Nunez, and Braun. Or you could keep Soria as a closer with all those good setup guys, keep De La Rosa or Davies as a 5th starter, etc. It still looks like the best pitching staff we've had in ages either way.
