Dexter is now available. Anyone want him back so he can retire a Chief? BTW, I'm just kidding.

HOUSTON -- The Houston Texans (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/teams/page/HOU) released 20 players on Friday, including Keenan McCardell (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1235) and Chad Stanley (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/146359), the only punter in franchise history.
Advertisement The Texans must release two more players to get to the league-mandated 53-player limit by 5 p.m. Saturday.
McCardell was signed just before training camp to bolster Houston's receiving group, but the emergence of third-round pick Jacoby Jones (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1220258) pushed the 37-year-old out of a job.
Stanley was beaten out by three-time Pro Bowler Matt Turk (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/4705), who averaged 38.3 yards per punt last year with the Rams.
The Texans also released second-year running back Wali Lundy (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/415672), their starter a year ago, and veteran defensive backs Tyrone Poole (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/4103) and Dexter McCleon (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/3901).
Others cut on Friday were center Drew Hodgdon (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/412891), guard Mike Brisiel (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/407091), receivers Bethel Johnson (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/395995) and David Anderson (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/405601), quarterback Jared Zabransky (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/424373), running back Darius Walker (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/517599), fullback Jon Abbate (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/432532), tackle Brandon Frye (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/410965), defensive backs John Walker (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/423005) and Brandon Mitchell (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/3976), defensive linemen Alfred Malone (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/553395), DelJuan Robinson (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1226326), Tim Bulman (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/407485) and Victor DeGrate (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/409462) and linebacker Trent Bray (http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/players/playerpage/1114617)

Given a choice between 'Mighty Mouth' Mark McMillian and Dexter McPasson, I would have to flip a coin. So, in summary, HELL NO.

Yeah, that way we could move Ty Law to nickel and start McCleon.

Is there doubt that he wouldn't want to be inducted into Canton as a Chief?

Swap the 5 and the 3 and I think you are in the ball park if you add a couple years for good measure!

I figured he was younger due to gravities
less effect on short people.

Isn't he 53 years old?

At least he can actually catch the ball. That puts him ahead of most of our receivers.
