Well, this is probably spur-of-the-moment insanity speaking, but Sweeney earned a big portion of his salary this year. As bad as the Royals may be, no one no-hits us except for Gods named Nolan Ryan.

Since Sweeney got a hit it ended up not mattering, but I for one tend to think the ump got that right. Unless I'm mistaken balls and strikes are supposed to be called in reference to where the ball is when its crossing the plate, not where its at when the catcher catches it. To me that pitch looked high crossing the plate and then just dove off the table.
