Hi everybody. I wanted to see if anybody has any recommendations on who to take lessons from are. Is there anybody in town that really is worth seeing? Thanks in advance.

I think it's important to find an instructor that matches the style you wish to play. The same guy I'd go to for fingerstyle isn't the same guy I'd go to for metal. Ask around, look at the bulletin boards at the guitar store you frequent, talk to the other guitar players you know, and in the meantime, look at lessons on line and buy a few books. Alot of basic chording you can do yourself. Half the songs out there go D/A/Bm/G with an occassional Csus4 thrown in.

Thanks, Braincase. I already noodle around with the books and playing on my own, but I want to learn as much as I can. I'm mainly into rock, but appreciate all types of music. I want to go to the BEST, who will teach me new things, every lesson.

Big Dude's in downtown KC is great for that. If you wanna go a different route, my bud Jeff Scheetz does online lessons...
