View Full Version : Chiefs are bad but count your blessings that you are not a Browns Fan!

Despite my pessimism for the season, I'm grateful I was not raised a Cleveland Browns fan. We are bad, but no where near as bad as the Browns. The good news is we will have a great opportunity to bring in more talent next year with the draft and the number of picks we'll have.

I see a Top 5 to Top 10 pick with at least 8 or 9 picks.

We'll still have Herm and CP, but hopefully for just one more season followed by a total new regime both in the Front Office and Coaching Staff in 2009.

Cleveland will still be bad.

Five years from now the Browns fans might be saying the opposite. "I'm grateful I was not raised a Kansas City Chiefs' fan."

Actually, the Browns have a lot of the pieces in place. They just need a coach.

Is this a serious thread?

Cleveland is LOADED with young talent - Quinn, Joe Thomas, Kellen Winslow, Braylon Edwards, etc....

We might win a game or two more than them this year, but for the forseeable future Cleveland will have a better team than KC.

That is my opinion too. They have a lot of young studs to work with but Romeo just doesn't seem to be a head coach.

If CP is our GM you are absolutely correct about this! :cuss:

After 1 game the Chiefs 2007 has already stooped to the level of "at least I'm not the Browns."

Don't hold your breath on that "new regime".

Unfortuantely not. Neither did I forgot when we lost to the Chargers when we they were 1-15 few years back.

But yet it appears they have the balls to give their possible BQOTF a chance to prove himself....

I know it's wishful thinking. But hopeful the fans connected with Chiefsplanet mirrors closely to the many fans in KC, and they stop being nice fans for once and start protesting for a new GM during the home games either by not attending or bringing signs that sends the message to Clark we want better!

True. I would rather be a Browns fan right about now.

I'd trade teams with the Browns in a second....and at least they scored a TD.

the 'new Regime' will be another of Carl's yes men. Presumably, Denny Thum.

I seriously doubt that KC will look outside of Carl's nest for a replacement... probably someone from UCLA.

It's gonna be Thum. There's no question.

The good news is his ego isn't nearly as big as Carl's...

You can go ahead and do that. I don't think the Chiefs are holding a gun to your head and telling you to stay on board.

Thum will run the business side and they will get somebody else for the football side when Carl leaves.

ya that's stupid, they have a nice QBOTnearF, a great talent at OT, some nice young guys to throw to. I'm not too sure about their defense, but if these are rebuilding years for both teams they look better than us

when the last time we had a Top 5 pick vs Cleveland or even a Top 10 pick? Was it as far back as DT? or maybe TG? ANyway my point is the Browns have had a Top 5 pick probably each of the last 15 years, and look at the result. I can't wait for the end of the CP and Herm Era, but I'm happy right where I am as a KC fan and very grateful not being a Browns fan no matter how much talent they have.

We are probably headed for a terrible year perhaps winning 5 games or less, but I feel we can turn it around sooner than the Browns will even with CP and Herm.

Ryan Sims. TG was 13 and DT was 4

The Browns have won a playoff game more recently than us and beat us in the last meeting, which team has been more successful?

Being a Chiefs fan isn't any better than being a fan of a bad team it just means you win a couple more games but in the end you don't win anything meaningful either.

well the Browns and us do have one thing in common. Extremely high hopes have been given up under the direction of Marty

I don't think Ryan sims was a Top 5 pick. I believe he was 12th pick.

Divide 12 by 2 and you will get where Sims was picked.

you are assuming he has a calculator on hand. In case he doesn't. Ryan Sims was picked #6
