You put everything in your post EXCEPT the price. :)

But yes, for $1,100, that does seem like one hell of a deal.

LOL ya my bad. Shipping is cheap too. 149.99 with 70 dollar rebate from the company. So essentially 79.99.

They have a 50'' Plasma Vizio too for 972.99, same shipping. It's only 720P, but that is what they broadcast sports on right now anyway.

I saw that same exact TV at Sears for like $1150. They had it playing Blue Ray movies and it was amazing.

Oops, my mistake. The one I saw in Sears is a 42 inch, not a 47 inch. Same basic TV, though. It is $1100 according to their website.

So what, it's not a DLP, so it's not like you'll have to worry about a bulb breaking right when you get it.

FYI, you can buy an extended warranty through Vizio's website. I just bought a 42" Vizio refurb from Tiger Direct. The warranty was only 90 days so I bought the 5 year extended service plan through Vizio's website. It cost $150. I think that was a good purchase.

I question a "fast response panel" when I see in the specs an 8 ms response time. That's very average. BTW, I have no qualms about buying refurbished. It's actually been tested, fixed, tested by a human being. Refurbs have a much lower failure rate than new items because of that.

WHAAAT? Are you sure it wasn't a LCD Projection? That is just nuts. If not, where do you live and what is the store number. I will freaking drive there.

Yeah it's a projection. Still a good deal though. Anybody know how long the bulbs last in the the LCD Projections TV's? I know in DLP's they run out very fast, and I'm going to be using my TV as my computer monintor too, so it's going to ge alot of hours in use.

I've had my rear projection LCD for 2 years and the bulb seems fine. I use my TV roughly for 5-6 hours every day.
