Kansas City Chiefs President Carl Peterson announced on Thursday that the club has added WR Brent Little to its practice squad. As per Chiefs policy, no other terms of the agreement were made available.

Little (5-11, 193) attended training camp with the Chiefs in 2007, but was released prior to the start of the regular season. Little originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Cleveland in 2006. He attended training camp with the Browns in 2006, but was released prior to the start of the regular season. A three-year starter at Southern Illinois, Little appeared in 49 games (32 starts) for the Salukis. He caught 124 passes for 2,303 yards (18.6 avg.) with 20 TDs and led the team in receptions from 2003-05. Little also returned 26 kickoffs for 560 yards (21.5 avg.).

A Kansas City native, Little concluded his prep career at Poplar Bluff High School in Poplar Bluff, Missouri where he earned all-state honors as a senior.

No word on who was dumped.

Intriguing...

I don't think we're going to add Medlock.

Lots of activity on the PS. I guess they need another WR ready in case of injury.

So they are completely washing their hands of Medlock??

Was Ekwereku that bad in the PS??

So Medlock cut for Little to PS? Makes sense, we needed WR's.

Anyone have a current PS list handy?

It seems like this is the 10th or 11th guy we've put on the PS without dumping anyone.

So let's recap Herm's drafting record, just for the record:

2006

1. Hali (starter)
2. Pollard (starter)
3. Croyle (competed to start, backup)
5. Stallings (cut)
6. Webb (backup)
7. Page (starter)

2007

1. Bowe (starter)
2. McBride (backup)
3. Tyler (backup)
5. Smith (3rd stringer)
5. Medlock (cut)
6. Taylor (3rd stringer)
7. Allan (practice squad)

Out of 13 picks... 4 starters, 4 backups, 2 3rd stringers, 1 practice squad, and 2 cuts.

Average drafting? Good drafting? Poor drafting?

Edit: Shit, I forgot Maxey, a 5th rounder from 2006. There've been 3 cuts.

Thanks for making this even easier. POOR drafting. We fail after the 3rd round, except Page.

My money is on Adkisson getting dropped. He doesn't make sense on our team right now.

I think that's good drafting. Every team needs backups and third stringers. Out of 14 picks, we've only cut 3. This is Tank and McBride's first year. Tank will be a starter and McBride will be a key player in the rotation. McBride just has two really good veterans in front of him. Webb is on the field and contributing. He might be #4 WR this year and #3 next year. That's fine by me. There are two pro bowlers in front of RB Smith. We can't judge him yet. Geesh! Taylor is on the 53 and contributing as a backup as a rookie! That's not bad for a 6th round pick. Low round tackles can take a few years to break into the starting lineup. Allan was on the 53. He got bumped due to an injury (Kennison). He'll probably be back on the 53. He's got a HoF TE, a secret weapon and the best blocking TE in the NFL in front of him. How can you say he's not a good draft pick. I could criticize Herm about a lot of things. I'm not sold on him yet. But, his drafting ability is better than Carl, Vermiel, Gunther and Marty. In my view, Herm's two drafts are the best back to back drafts we've had in many, many years. Give the guy a break!!!! :cuss:

Herm already stated that former squad and practice squad players would not be re-signed. They know who those guys are and their abilities. Time to move on.

My question is twofold...who in the HELL is this guy...& where in the HELL is Hannon???

Why is Webb, who did next to nothing pre-07, on the depth chart & not Hannon. Chris didnt light the world on fire, but he DID consistently make catches & solid gains....& he's faster than Webb.

Now they bring in this guy, what the hell??? If there is 1 position that Herm likes to make rash, headscratching moves at...its WR. First the Helter-Skelter, Moss/Coles back & forth debacle...now this.

I back Herm when i feel i can justify it, but i sure cant in this instance. My WR's look like this...Kenny, Bowe, Hannon & (ugh) Parker, with Scippio nearby on the practice squad for when one of them gets they're head stuck up they're 4th point of contact.

As his two goofball sons tell Bill Murray, in the funniest scene in "Rushmore"..."Get your head outta your ass!!!"
