So my 15-year-old son has a school Hallowe'en event in a couple weeks (I know - early) so we are trying to come up with a costume last night. I am going through his closet and......his Mike Vick jersey!!

Wow - like a blank canvas to all the Renoirs on this Board.

My first thought is sewing a stuffed dog's mouth to the ass of his jeans.

Any other ideas? must be SFS (Suitable For School) and not involve spending mucho $$

thanks!

Cut big bite marks out of the side and stain it with fake blood. This won't work if its black though.

If this is for school, you need to get that idea out of your head, right away.

yeah - a little worried about that, too - but what the hell - all they can do is send him home to change....no biggie....

How about just throwing the jersey on and putting his hands in handcuffs? Maybe chains around his ankles? I don't know...not creative.

Or they suspend him, followed by a call to the division of family services about your poor parenting skills.

Are you seeing the big picture yet?

True but there's no need to get the child in trouble when you can see it coming a mile away.

Wow.... I can't believe I am the first one to pick up on this but.

What self respecting Chiefs fan lets their kid wear the jersey of another team?!??!?!

:p

You could always kill a stray dog from the neighborhood and have your kid drag it around the party on a leash!

that should go over HUGE!

I'm not suggesting this as a course of action. I am, however, suggesting that, after reading the headlines, day in and day out, about crap like this, it DOES happen. You have to cover your ass in this day and age of Political Correctness and what have you.

When I was in high school, I dressed as Hitler for one halloween. Complete with swastika armband and a well detailed bloody bullet wound to the head. I thought it was brilliant at the time, but I caught some major flack for it. Looking back... maybe not such a good idea.

Reminds me of that South Park episode where Cartman did the exact same thing...

I should note that I'm in no way a fan of Hitler or the Nazis. Their twisted evil ways left a scar on the older generation that I really underestimated at the time of my costume design. I find the World Wars very fascinating, and had intended on making fun of Hitler's cowardly suicide. It still made some people very uncomfortable...

I actually have a chiefs jersey - #9 - guess when I bought that and who it is?

I like the prison stripes and orange pants idea...

BTW, I am in Canada - most of the teachers up hear would probably think it was a Joe Theisman jersey and wouldn't understand anyway!

Are you kidding? He would fit in perfeectly with this offense - from Wikipedia:

"He eventually gave up his starting job in 1988 when the Chiefs traded for Steve DeBerg. Kenney was released after failing to throw a touchdown pass in 114 attempts that season"

Jersey. Sombrero, big fake 'stache, big bottle of Valtrex, an invisible dog with a muzzle attached and tell your son to go around talking in the 3rd person "Ron Mexico wants to bob for apples" "Ron Mexico cares not for those peanut butter taffy's in the orange and black wax paper!"
